WM3250HWA LG Front Load Washing-Mold in gasket

I have a LG front load washer. After every wash we leave the door open yet their is still a moldy smell. I have also notice a considerable amount of lint and dog hair (short hair dog). I'm sure the lint and hair isn't good for the washer. I drain the tub out once a month and try to wipe out the gasket often as well. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what advice do you have?

80 Series Kenmore washer won't spin; makes screeching noise

A few days ago, my wife said the washing machine was making a thumping noise when in spin cycle. Then today she said it has stopped. When I asked her to show me, it makes a loud screeching sound.

Any ideas as to what my problem might be??

LG WM4370HWA Front Load Washer door won't stay open

We bought a stacked washer/dryer set from LG that arrived this past week. In doing laundry we've discovered that the dryer door will "stay put" when loading clothes at close to 180°, but the washer door won't even extend to 70° before it starts to slowly swing back. This is a definite annoyance as it makes loading and unloading the washing machine difficult as the door gets in the way. The washer door will stay open at that 70° angle but it would make life a lot easier if that could be extended some. If there is any use in providing pictures of a specific area please let me know.

LE Error on LG WT1201CV Top Load Washer (And I don't think it's the hall sensor)

Hi Everyone,

I've got a bit of a weird one here. I have an LG WT1201CV top load washer. Last summer, we started getting an "LE" error on every second load. I looked up some info and I replaced the hall sensor. Things seemed to get better for a while, with only the occasional LE error. When the error would initially happen, it was usually before the high speed spin at the end of the cycle.

A couple days ago, I can't run the thing at all. I get LE during the load sensing stage, right before the machine should start filling and spinning the tub.

Here's what I have tried:

-Went into diagnostic mode. Everything seems to work fine up until the high speed spin setting, then it reverts to "LE."
-The tub seems to spin freely on its own by hand. Doesn't make a noise and doesn't feel stuck or seized
-The hall sensor passes the Ohms test (I get resistance on terminals 1 to 5 and 2 to 5)
-The hall sensor is putting out 10 VDC, cycling on and off as you turn the tub (like its supposed to, I think). Should it go right to zero?
-The board seems to be supplying 15 DCV to the hall sensor, so I think the board is doing its job
-I inspected the rotor and there are no broken or cracked magnets
-The stator reads resistance across all terminals

What the heck is going on?!

I repaired restaurant equipment for 5 years, so I have some working knowledge of appliances and how to troubleshoot, but this is stumping me! All the individual components seem fine but I still can't run the darn thing. I kinda want to say it's the board, but I don't want to spend the money on being wrong.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Top Loader clicks but does not start

The washer (top loader) will not start. I press the dial to start and it clicks a couple of times two lights flash however I never hear the door lock engage nor does the machine start.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
This system only has light and dials so no error numbers to display.

I have a Beko brand washing machine, model number 'wmb 51021', and very recently has a issue where it get stuck on the 'wash' phase (second phase after starting). The machine goes on for hours washing, and seems to never end. Using different heat settings all have same result.
Works normally when using Quick wash setting.

WM2250CW Rattling LG Front Loader mostly during spin up and spin down

Hi,

My LG washer started making this noise about a year ago (it's a little over three years old) but doesn't seem to be getting any worse. It occurs mainly during spin up and spin down (not at full speed, although when empty is does make some noise). I notice it mostly during diagnostic mode, when I spin the drum to pump out excess water after use. I always wipe the door and gasket and keep the door totally open when not in use (never any mold problems). Machine is very level and strainer is clean. I've wondered if using diagnostic mode to pump out excess water is harmful to the machine but I don't see how it can be.

Here is a link to the Youtube video (with sound, of course) showing this:

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

WM2650HWA LG Front Load Washer Leaking

I'm having an issue with my LG front load washer leaking. During operation and after there's always some water that pools underneath and near back of the washer. Not a large amount of water but enough to be noticeable and soak a large towel.

After wash cycles are done you can hear a small drip every few seconds if you listen back behind the washer

Any advice on where to start looking?

Also separate but related to this, we thought it might have something to do with the hose used for draining the tub so we emptied the water from the tub and cleaned the pump filter.

After doing this we forget to put the pump filter back in and ran the washer which ended up spilling water into the washroom and into one of our heating/cooling vents on the floor in the washroom. Of course this happened when we left the house.

Question related to this is can you tell me about how much water would have been discharged from the washer if it ran for about 15 minutes? Just trying to figure out how much might have gone into the vents so I can figure out if I need to pump the vents out or not.

Thanks for your help.

Kenmore Front Loader Having Door Lock Issues

About a week ago the door lock on our Kenmore failed. latch spring fell out & door lock light on.

So I ordered a new latch & installed it.

Same problem (but internal latches are fine).

No matter what I do, when I try to start any cycle the door lock light stays on. The safety latch will not activate and the washer won't start.

All connections that I can see are ok. No other issues I can think of. Washer was working fine before the latch went.

Any clues?

All 4 black straps are on and loose from what I've read is thats normal. Counter weight secure like new. The rods that hold the tank seem good. 2 blues in the front 2 reds in the back. Everything seems to be intact. Tried level the machine and seems to be OK but can't do heavy loads it jumps dances violent. Just recently it's even worse. Any help.

Looking for suggestions on a new washing machine

I had a GE from 2000 to 2011, replaced it with a Whirlpool. Had more problems with the Whirlpool in 5+ years than with the GE in 11.

Is a front load better, worse or the same as a top load?

I've always tried to buy American but I don't want to replace equipment every 5-6 years.

What are the top 3 moderately priced machines?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

WM2077CW basic maintenance parts replacement?

Hey all...thanks in advance for any and all support. I havent had to post here in a while because everything has been running smooothly...knock on wood.

My sister in law has an LG WM2077CW washer, and it works fine. The issue is that the inner door gasket, the big thick fat wide one where the door closes is stained dark black and smeels and looks mildew-y, as does the washer as a whole. This is despite using washing machine cleaning tablets/chemicals on a fairly regular basis.

What I would like to know is that if I change that gasket for the hell of it, just to put a new clean, non-stained one on, is there anything else in the system I should replace as well since I would have the machine broken down that far? Any other gaskets or hoses internally that would contribute to the mildew smell that I should replace? Anything else I should clean/disinfect to get as thorough a clean in the system as I can get so that I can eliminate the mildew smell coming from the machine? And yes, the door is always left open after a wash.

WM3470HVA LG Washer won't turn on until I unplug for 10 seconds

My LG Washer just started an issue where it won't turn on when pressing the power button. But if i unplug it for 10 seconds, then plug it back in, it turns on. At that point, i can turn it on and off, and it seems to be working. i can also then run a full cycle.

Once it turns off again, i have to do the same thing to get it to run again.

I don't even know where to start looking!

Speed Queen AWN432SP - inconsistent water fill

Have had a problem with this machine ever since the warranty expired. Periodically, the water flow on the fill goes to almost nothing. I have checked and cleaned the strainer screens, and even replaced the hot/cold fill solenoid valves. Everything seemed to help but nothing has corrected the problem. I researched on line and I am thinking it could be the level diaphragm switch. The only problem is the levels seem to be be controllable and consistent. The only other thing is the timer, but again it appears to work consistently through the cycles. Anyone with some thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. We have found that if you manually advance the timer and restart the cycle sometimes the normal flow will return.

Hey guys and happy new year!
Does anyone know if the presets in this can be changed? It doesn't have conventional dials but a touch screen to set temperature, I (rather, my 70 year old mother who uses this thing) just want to put the plug in, turn on the tap, put some detergent and press play to start one single wash and dry programme all the time.

WM2688HWMA LG Side Load Washer Won't Fill With Cold Water

My washer won't fill with cold water. I get an error message on the screen.

I have pulled the hose and there is great pressure at the valve and water flows through the hose. My cold water inlet on the back of the machine has a screen. This screen looks like it is not removable but I don't see debris clogging the screen. The hot water inlet on the back of the machine has a removable screen which has a slight amount of debris which I have washed off.

How do I get this thing going again?

Centennial will not fill. MVWC6ESWW1

OK guys, I have a Maytag Centennial Top load washer. It is a Whirlpool direct drive design. I am having trouble with it filling. It will not fill on any cycle. Nor will water flow during any rinse cycle. The machine will spin in the spin cycles. I have run power directly to the inlet valve and it is operable so I am coming down to the timer (WPW10243947) or the temperature control load sensing switch (W10248240). I don't have any burns on any plugs, bad wiring, or a bad capacitor. Did I maybe miss something else?

I did notice some jumpers on this Temp Controller/Water level switch that is in the machine. Is there a way to jump it to test it?

Thanks for your help guys!

Is there a life after a flood?

Hello and a happy New Year everyone!
So, I have an Indesit IWC 5145 washing machine which we keep in the basement. Few weeks ago we had minor flooding down there; the flooding was caused by a broken pipe, not the machine itself. The water level was not that big, but I am sure it touched some of the wires and electronics on the bottom of the washing machine. We left it all to dry for few weeks, but now the machine is still not turning on at all. Once plugged it doesn't give any sings of life. Is there any security switch that might have got stuck or is it simply over and the machine is dead?

I would really appreciate if you could tell me if there is anything I could jiggle down there to wake the machine up.

Thanks in advance!

PS Why Indesit isn't listed among the brands?

Frigidaire Stacked Washer Dryer Combo - Washer won't respond

I have a Frigidaire Laundry Center model # FFLE4033QT0
It is exactly 1 yr old. The washer has stopped responding / working, however the dryer works fine. The washer controls do not respond at all no sounds beeps or anything when turning or pressing knobs. It will not enter diagnostics or reset. So I dug into it and I have taken the washer main control board (part# 5304500488) out. I opened the plastic cover and found that there is a burnt spot on the board where the 3 wires that come from the motor control board (part# 808653801) attach to it. The "pins" on the main circuit board are burnt and blown off the board (where the plastic plug with the wires attach to it). One of the printed circuits is bubbled up from the current that went though it. It shows the connection to be J16 on the wiring diagram in the service booklet I found inside the machine.

I need help knowing what to do or to check for so that I don't buy a new board or boards just to have them pop and burn when I install them. Obviously some voltage / current either came from the motor control board or went out this connection to the motor control board... I can use a multi-meter and am familiar with trouble shooting but I need help guiding me on what I'm looking for with the meter, resistance values, continuity, open closed circuits, etc...
The drive motor itself says it is 3 phase, I assume DC, so with my knowledge of AC motors this means the 3 terminals should ohm out equal, can somebody confirm this?

Thanks,
Mike

Samsung Front Loading WF448 intermittent drain pump

I have a Samsung WF448 that will not drain. The drain pump occasionally comes on at the beginning of the spin cycle for about a second then stops until an error code appears on the front panel. I checked the pump on the bench. It works fine. I checked for obstructions in all water passages, cleaned out the filter and all the other common problem areas. This seems to be relay or control board problem. There are two boards, one with the display and a smaller one that the mode knob connects to. Neither of these has anything that looks like a relay on it. Does anyone know where the relay is and/or have a diagram to show its location? I'd like to check the relay inputs to see if the activation signals are correct and that pump voltage is at least on the input. Thanks in advance for any help you can send my way.
