maytag front load washer

I'm working on a maytag front load washer that the second you plug it in, it trips the gfci. so I plugged it into a non gfci outlet and something popped in the main control board. I have a spare but don't want to put it in and ruin that one to. what is the most likely cause for this happening and how or what do I test to figure it out? the model number is MHW4300DW

Washer tripping electrics, and not finishing hot wash cycles

Once or twice my Bosch front-loading washer did not complete a regular hot wash cycle correctly - didn't spin/drain at end, but indicated a normal cycle "Ended" light (no blinking/error). Then it tripped the house electrics part way in to a hot cycle.

I guessed the heating element might be faulty, and tested a a voltmeter across its live/neutral pins - it reads 26 Ohms, no continuity to earth. No obvious bare wires or anything wrong-looking inside machine.

The washer runs Spin and Rinse cycles ok, and runs a cold wash cycle, but does not finish the cold wash - it ends without completing the spin/drain, and lights indicate cycle has "Ended" normally (no blinking/error). You can then manually set a Spin cycle, which runs & drains ok. Any regular hot wash cycle trips the electrics.

Any idea what that might be?

WFMC3200UC/01 BOSCH Washer Loud Knocking Noise

Our washing machine has developed a knocking noise whenever the drum is in motion.
It appears to sound like a knocking noise. I have attached a link to a audio file on DropBox since
I couldn't upload it to the blog.
of the noise. Even if the drum is not rotating and I move it laterally the noise can be generated.
I need to know what needs replacing. When it it in spin mode it get pretty loud.

Washing Machine beeps three times, displays three dashes, then after several minutes drains

Recently, my ten year old Whirlpool GHW9150PW0 Washing Machine started acting up. The Control Locked led would stay lit and the machine would stop mid cycle. I could see that there was still water inside the locked machine. I talked to my co-workers and they recommended that I check the coin trap. Yeah, there was a lot of coins and debris in the trap. I thought my problems were solved. I ran the machine after the trap was cleaned. During the Normal Cycle (40 Minutes) the water entered the drum and the drum would rotate back and forth, but I would hear a lot of beeps. Three beeps in sequence. Once when the drum rotated right and once when the drum rotated left. At about 38 minutes, the Time Remaining leds would start to flash. Then the flashing would stop and the Time Remaining leds would indicate three dashes. The drum would stop moving and the display would indicate three dashes for several minutes. The machine would go to the drain sequence, pump out the water and shut off. There were never any fault codes displayed. I learned how to perform the self tests. The machine goes through all of the self tests and does not fail. I ordered a Computer control card and will replace it soon. Does anyone have an idea as to what I should do next?:disgust:

Inglis Washer has burned rubber smell

2006 Inglis washing machine
A friend gave us a washing machine because we do not have one. The catch is that there is a burning rubber smell. It still works, but I am afraid it will not for long, if we run the machine.

WM3750HVA LG washer - Bottom concrete counter weight not attached/manufacturer error

Hi there,
I was just wondering if anyone could confirm or refute my feelings.

Bottom concrete counter weight not attached/manufacturer error - potential damage created?

I have a 5 month old washer that has not worked right from the beginning. Started as intermittently clothes not coming out dry progressively worsening to not being able to keep the washer still during spin cycle starting with larger loads and progressing to lighter loads within the last month (even with the washer being properly balanced on a hard cement surface and me sitting on it). Too eventually the final straw the machine starting to leak. This was the point at which I knew it was no longer me and my techniques in loading this new machine.

Long story short: I had a LG tech come and he found that the front bottom concrete counter weight was never even attached. Resulting in pipes being worn through thus creating the water leak. Essentially he said that just two hoses needed to be replaced and the dispenser container as the exterior was all banged up on the outside. However, the technician said everything looked good otherwise and from his expert advise there should be no problems with this washer as a result of the 5 months of it not being properly balanced inside.

MY queistion: I have a hard time believing he can judge this just by looking with his eyes. I feel there is no way he can guarantee that there was no additional wear and tear on the motor, suspension system, bearings, inner wall of the washer in areas we cannot see properly, ect. I feel this was a manufacture error and I should be able to receive a new one. However, the LG costumer service rep said without the technicians consent this is not possible.

Can anyone with adequate knowlege of front load washers support me in continuing to try to get a new machine and or provide me with the peace of mind and guarantee that the machine is as good as new.

many thanks,
Jodi

Maytag Maxima Washer Gets Stuck on Wash Mode

Having an issue with my washer.

Once the washer gets to the spin mode, it will agitate clockwise and counterclockwise, drain, agitate clockwise and counterclockwise, drain, repeat. During this whole time the sensing light will flash. Also, the timer said 11 minutes when this cycle started, and never changed for over 20 minutes. After being stuck on 11 minutes, for over 20 minutes, it finally spun and shut off. The cycle took about 30 minutes longer than the timer said it would.

I put it in diagnostic mode, and no errors came up. I did the tests, and it went through all of the tests fine, until it got to the wash mode (C6 I think?). I waited 15 minutes and never went past that cycle. So I manually skipped it, it drained, and then spun.

I took the washer apart, checked the pressure switch tube, and it was clean and clear. Also emptied the drain pump filter.

Any ideas what this could be?

WT4801CW LG Washer has went crazy and I"m heading there myself :/

My LG Washer WT4801CW has had several issues the past few weeks. The first issue was clear. The washer plate was bad. I replaced it. The washer squeaks horribly and does not seem to agitate like normal. It wants to freeze up and not finish a load sometimes. Once I unplug it for about ten minutes it will start back up where it left off.

Now it is leaking from underneath the tub. About half the time it won't spin during draining it will just simply drain while sitting still and will leave the clothes soaked and a little water in the bottom.

I don't really have the finances to hire someone or to play guessing games by purchasing different parts until I get it right so I'm hoping someone will have some experience with this same issue or have a much better guess as to what the problem is.

We are guessing at this point the clutch is a good possibility but have found nothing through many searches that suggests the clutch would cause it to leak.

Possible error code

I have a washing machine/dryer unit with a possible error code for the washer. Dryer works fine. Washer tub bearings bad and evidence of water leaking. When I first plug it in, it seems to go into a preliminary test mode and within five seconds displays the following: on indicator is illuminated, wash led is flashing, rinse led not illuminated, spin led is flashing and lid locked led is not illuminated. Can anyone tell me if this is an error code and if so, what does it represent. Unplugging terminal connection to the drive motor, drain motor and mode shifter does not change the code.
