LG front loader door pops open mid cycle flooding

This LG, I haven't seen it. Customer called today. Not sure of the age. She says the door pops open during the cycle letting the water out. My first thought was the door lock not holding or the hook on the door damaged. After googling it I saw a complaint online about the door popping open on LGs . Maybe it is filling too full? Water valve sticking open or pressure sensor LETTING it fill too full? Then the too full water level pushing it open? What are your thoughts gentlemen?

Kenmore 70 series not draining water

Hey everyone Im having trouble with my Kenmore 70 Series draining. It goes through the first cycle (Agitator) Then when it goes into the next stage it just doesnt do anything. I think thats the draining stage then fresh water. It seems like it just shuts off i dont hear anything. I have taken the water pump off and it doesnt seem clogged. I dont know how to tst and see if the motor is working properly.

It was having a secondary issue before this with having to take almost everything out for it to start spinning. Im asuming the cylindar or coupling was going out. Id have to spin it with my hand while the spin cycle was started to get it rotating then add the clothes back slowly.

LG WT1101CW Washer UE Error

I saw another resolved thread where the user had this same problem - endless cycling at the rinse/spin cycle with more time perpetually added. Seems that replacing the control board is the best bet.

However the part # and links in the previous thread lead to a part that is no longer available.

Can anyone tell me if there is an available equivalent that fits this model? Preferably from a place that will accept a return if it doesn’t resolve the problem?

My 84yr old dad has been battling this problem and is ready to get a new machine, but it would be great if I could locate a board for him so he can give this a try and avoid the expense of a new washer.

Thanks very much.

LG WM3677HW Will not Drain Water All The time

Hello, I have a 2 in 1 combo LG WM36787HW. I have worked on this thing and have been able to usually fix it. I will list the things below that I have done so fall. A brief description of everything.

1. First the water valve inlet went bad and was not closing the valves all the way which would then allow water to seep in while sitting dormant
2. The night when I was replcaded the valve the drain pump quit working. I ordered both pumps and replaced them.
3. Now this is my problem. The washer works fine though the wash cycle, the rinse cycle. The drain pumps come on and empty the water when they needs to.
When the spin and dry cycle are on and when it counts down to 1:00 then i get the OE error. During the cycle the pump comes on and is draining as it should.
Also during the spin/dry the water valve comes on that puts water in the drying tube. It seems to me that the water valve should not be on the whole time.
During this last part that i described is when it happens. The drum starts to fill up with like it is being overwhelmed with to much water by that valve being open the whole time
Or is the control panel board bad at that point ?

Kenmore washing machine

When I first start the washing machine it wants to wash and feel at the same time and if I do not turn the water off at the end of the spin cycle it will dump water on my clothes. It has done this several times in the past and I was able to unplug it and run it a couple of times and it would fix itself but that's not the case now. Any help would be appreciated

WF218ANW/XAA Samsung Washer not Draining

This is probably the result of my son washing an old rubber backed rug that disintegrated in washer. In the past, I have had to occasionally remove the back, pull the hose that goes into the pump and collect junk that gets caught in the 90 degree turn. This time, that is not working. Is there another place where all that disintegrated rubber could have collected?

First time I did it a ton of rubber bits came out. Wonder if it is as simple as the drain pipe itself is plugged?

Thanks, Mike

no agitation

I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care ll, mod. no. LSQ8500JQ0. It fills, drains and spins fine, it just won't agitate. I can turn the agitator freely by hand when the machine is not in use. During the wash cycle there is a slight clicking sound and the agitator "twitches" with the clicking sound, but doesn't actually move.
My research has indicated possibly a drive block? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated

Duet Will Not Run

I have a Whirlpool Duet that was slow to drain and would leave water in the tub. It then started tripping a F06E01 error and would no longer run.

I have removed the front panel and cleaned the drain and it had some materiel but nothing serious and nothing in my opinion that would seriously restrict flow.

I entered service mode and cleared the F06E01 code.

I attempted to enter Quick Diagnostic Mode and it started test C00 and would go no further.

Ideas?

Leak in Maytag Atlantis MAV7600

I have a leak in our Maytag Atlantis MAV7600. I thought it may be from one of the hoses but when I took off the front they look fine and so do the clamps. I ran a rinse cycle with the panel off to see if I could see where the water is coming from and couldn't see any. I had noticed last evening that when we had a full load that rinsed, the discharge was under water part time. I started thinking that may be the problem, that it was back flowing, so I raised it before running water this morning.

Just as I was about to walk away I noticed a small amount of water coming from under the pump. I didn't hear any weird sounds coming from the pump. I asked my wife if she had noticed any noised when it is draining and she didn't hear any either. Of course most of the time we are not present when that would happen.

An ideas what is going on?

Thanks.

Pat.

Leaking Maytag Washer Brake Assembly

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for allowing me on the blog. I ordered a new Maytag Washer Brake assembly on line from a reputable seller and when it arrived it was leaking oil. Replacement was sent and again it was found leaking oil. This can't be right. The assembly has pressed tabs on it instead of screws like the old one. How can it be filled with oil again? Or should I just request another one?

Samsung front loading washer won’t bring water in

I bought a front loading Samsung washer and dryer a year ago. Our warranty ran out a month ago and guess what....it stopped working. I cleaned the front filter and it still isn’t able to bring water in. Everything is connected. It turns on fine, selects the cycle, but won’t wash or anything. It makes a noise like it’s trying to pull the water in but never does. HELP

sincerely,

Buzzing and won't start

Medium-loud buzzing sound coming from lower left front of the washer (it's hard to localize but that is my best guess). If I try to start a cycle, it's quiet for several seconds then the buzzing starts. The drum turns very slowly then stops completely. I do not hear the sound of filling water as I normally would after starting cycle. The buzzing sounds like the typical 60Hz electrical buzz like a stuck motor or pump or something.

PS: I found it very hard to look for other similar posts on this forum. It appears you can only search one level deep - in other words I could search for buzzing in all washers of all brands but not limit the results to Frigidaire washers, so I got too many irrelevant results to be useful. Is there a better way to search? I hate asking the same question that someone already has.

Kenmore Front Load Washer Only Spins at High Speed

The washer recently stopped powering on and during inspection I found a bad noise filter. A fuse in the filter melted. I replaced the noise filter and the washer turns right on again. However, since changing this part, the washer is now stuck on 'Extra High' spin speed. I can select 'No Spin' and that works, but anytime I select Low, Medium or High, it only runs on Extra High speed. It is horribly loud on this speed and feels like the washer is going to lift off the ground. Its working but I'm afraid if I allow it to use Extra High it will fry the motor or bearings soon. Can the noise filter replacement really have that much affect on the sin speed? I've unplugged and re-seated all the connections but nothing is helping. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Washing machine getting fried while draining

Hello everyone,

The reason for my post is my tenant (I own a duplex) has bought two washers in the past two days and both of them have had their electrical components fried when the washer begins the draining process.

Seems very strange because I figured any electrical issue would be prevented by the breaker tripping (<4 yr old electrical box).

Anyways, I don't have specifics on the washer because I didn't purchase it. I searched the internet for a decent bit and couldn't find any information on this happening to others.

I understand I haven't provided a lot of details here, but I'm just trying to understand what potentially could cause this. Any thoughts or experiences related to this are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben

Kenmore Laundry Center starts spinning but then stops

Hi everyone,

New to the forum and it looks to be a great resource. I have an issue with my stacked Kenmore Washer/Dryer Laundry Center and hopeful someone out there may be able to help me pinpoint the exact cause.

So the washer will fill with water and when the time comes to begin agitating, it will start to agitate (one revolution to either right or left) and then stop. The 'WASH' light will then flash. If I press the 'Start/Pause' button it will agitate in the opposite direction (again one revolution) and then stop and the wash light will again flash. I can't get it to agitate if I keep pressing the start/pause button repeatedly.

If I set it to 'SPIN' only cycle, it will drain the water completely and then as soon as the spin cycle is to begin, it will start spinning and after a 1-2 seconds, it will stop and the wash light flashes. Important to note, the lid lock light is illuminated red and the lid is in fact locked.

I took the front panel off the washer to see what is happening down by the belt and motor area. The white colored plate with teeth will drop down and engage the black plate with teeth and spin the tub, but as I stated earlier only for 1-2 seconds.

Can someone help?! Thanks, Mark

Load spinning clockwise during agitation cycle

in a nutshell, my washer isn't agitating like it should. as the action of agitation is supposed to happen, the tub spins and load spins instead of agitating. the tub seems to want to index as the agitator is engaged, but clothes gets wrapped around the agitator and and everything spins. I tried applying a little pressure by hand to feel how much torque or resistance I could apply to the agitator, and the agitator almost comes to a stop with some some firm pressure; not sure if this is any indicator, but thought I'd share.

I did video what was going and can be seen here https://youtu.be/vLR6pKjjY70 ; if this link works.

I'm ready to throw in the towel on this washer after 6 years and start looking for a new washer, but if I can repair for a fraction of the cost of a new one, I'll sure as heck try to repair.

Samsung WF337AAG/XAC No Spin, No Sound

Good day everyone I'm glad I could find a forum that I can ask my for a solution.

So basically my washer won't go in spin. I hear the water coming down, It drains without an issue when it's time to spin I hear the door clicking (lock) then nothing... No error codes either. No debris filter on that model.

I changed the pump. I removed every part and checked the spider shaft/arm. It's not broken but deteriorated on sides but it would spin a bit at least.

Anyone has idea what it could possibly be?

WT1701CW LG Random power up/power down no codes

Hello,
I have a 3 year old LG WT1701CW topload washer and it recently started powering down between cycles.
I could power it back up and run the rinse/spin cycle but if I tried to run the wash cycle it may or may not make through the process. Sometimes it works perfectly.
Sometimes the touch panel won’t stay on long enough to select a cycle.
It just completed a wash cycle without issue and turn itself off. Then 2 minutes later the power on music came on by itself.
I thought something might be getting wet. I pulled the control board an visually inspected it.
The boards are potted well and no visible moisture or damage was noticeable. Disconnected all the plugs and reconnected looking for loose or poor connections.
Any suggestions?

Kenmore 90 Series Clicking Noise During Agitation Only (with video)

Searching this site, I believe I may have found the culprit. But I'd rather not influence anyone in case it's something else.

This is my 2nd Whirpool designed washer (plus an '80s model that I included in the sale of a rental back in 2006) and I'm aware of their reputation. And we all know they don't make 'em like this anymore. I believe my father still has his set from the early '70s. So I'd fix 'er if not too expensive.

Serial says she's 19 years old. I got her used about 4 years ago. She's done 3 loads a day since. I had to replace the dogs fairly early on and a door switch a little while back. Neither a big surprise nor expense.

She was running fine until a few days ago, then suddenly wasn't. Other than agitation, she functions completely normally. Hopefully the video speaks for itself...

MVWX600XW0 Maytag Bravos top load washer won't agitate or spin

The problems started with the wash cycle ending and the clothes in a wet pile on the bottom of the washer. I could get the machine to spin the clothes by using "drain & spin". The problem has progressed to not agitating or spinning at all, and not hearing any noise from the motor.
After reading this forum, testing and trying to diagnose, I have replaced the actuator and the Lid lock switch. This did not fix the problem.
Have seen the following codes:
F7 E6 motor fault
F7 E1 basket speed
F1 E2 motor control fault
F5 E4 lid not opened between cycles

Now when trying an automatic test, the lid lock switch light blinks continuously, and the test will not progress. However, doing a manual test everything seems to work but the switch test, spin and agitate cycles.

My next step would be to either replace the control board or the motor. Both of these parts are more expensive and I would like to narrow it down to the correct part before purchasing.
I have a multimeter, but am a novice at using it.

Kicks pump on then begins to try and spin. All it does is jerk back and fourth or “wiggle”. I’m sick of throwing parts at it. Any insight on what my issue may be?

Kenmore 110.12502100 tripping thermal cutoff?

Hi,

My washer stops at random points during the wash, although can make it all the way through several washes as well. A month ago the 110 circuit the washer shares with a 110 volt dryer began to have its breaker trip- never done that in 10 years. I stopped running the dryer at the same time and the washer began to shut itself down with a hot electrical equipment smell coming from around the tub. I'm guessing the motor is drawing enough current to overheat itself when it has the whole circuit to itself but when its sharing with the dryer it trips the breaker before it overheats enough to shut down.

After an hour or so the machine will start and finish the cycle.

The obvious culprit would be the motor but I have read that a bad capacitor or a bad timer will cause this as well. The drum spins freely counter-clockwise but the break is on when trying to spin it clockwise. It will rotate, but requires some effort. I'm not sure if that's correct or not.

I hear no bad transmission sounds or squealing or grinding bearings. The thing sounds like it always has.

Throwing parts at a machine this old isn't what I want to do but with the correct diagnosis and the right parts this would make sense to repair for a variety of reasons- the most significant is that I have very limited space and if I need to buy new it will make the most sense to buy a stackable washer and dryer. So the other option starts at about $1,350.

Thanks in advance,

Clarke

Majestic Pinnacle MJ9250 RV Washer

Hi all,
Have just inherited this washer that has been stored outside for an unknown period of time. I am interested in getting it running, and have so far cleaned it inside and out and removed all debris...the washer looks in good condition, and when plugged in the power light illuminates. I have yet to hook it up to hot and cold and run it, as I'm concerned that doing so may cause some damage being as it's been stored outside....electrical,motor seized etc.etc. Can anyone advise me of the the steps I should take from this stage to see if the washer actually works? Fill with water and give it a shot? Some way of checking to see that the motor is not seized before filling? Any other checks I should do before actually trying it out?
Any and all help would be appreciated....I have tried to find the manual for this model number on line with no success....have only found one for the MJ9250W which has a spin cycle speed control knob....this one does not.
Could include pics of inside and out if needed.
Thanks.

LG WM2101HW no power

For a couple of weeks my washing machine would sometimes get stuck at 9 minutes left. It would spin but never finish. Sometimes it would eventually give me an error UL. Which I believe means Uneven Load. I tried moving things around and stuff but nothing really fixed the issue.
About a couple months after this, the unit would not power on at all. Tried different things to try and get power back to it. I ended up buying a new motherboard for the unit. I replaced it and it started working for 2 days. Again would still get stuck at around 9 minutes.
Then it stopped working again. No power.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions what it might be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

Bosch Nexxt 500 WFMC330SUC/03 smooth spin until hits final speed stage

I've searched through many threads but can't find an issue described quite like this one.

During spin cycle if you watch it, the drum rpm will increase in stages sort of like how a car with automatic transmission shifts from gear to gear during acceleration. It also looks like it has a "braking" stage at the end of the cycle to rapidly slow the drum rather than letting it freewheel down from 1200 rpm or whatever the max is.

My washer (model WFMC330SUC/03) smoothly and quietly ramps up through the various speeds, but then either when going from 3rd fastest to 4th fastest, or at the braking stage, makes loud banging/thumping sounds and also a screeching sound like rubber/metal slippage.

Up until that point (3rd gear, whatever you want to call it, about 800 rpm) it's as smooth and quiet as normal.

Transmission?

Many thanks for any thoughts.

GE washer doesn't spin

GTW330ASK0WW 1year old
Not sure if it's completing the wash cycle and I know it's not completing rinse cycle since the fabric softener is still in the cup. When I put it on drain and spin, it starts out okay and the basin begins to bounce around and it stops spin cycle and begins to fill up with water again. I've tried rearranging the clothes and even taking them out and putting back in but I really shouldn't have to do that and never had to do it before. I just keep stopping it and starting all over with drain and spin until I can get it to complete the spinning.

GE Washer WJSR20706 Agitates, drains but no spin

Washer left clothes soaking wet. Ran a few cycles. Confirmed that it agitates, drains completely but no spin.

Lid switch ok because agitation interrepts/resumes when opening and closing lid. (Top load machine)

Removed and cleaned the pressure switch tube. No blockage found. Cleaned inside nipple on plastic housing on side of tub where tube attaches. No blockage there either.

With front cover removed, confirmed belt is engaged and seated properly on both pulleys. During the spin cycle the pump drains tub completely and stays running but the motor doesnt spin at all.

With machine disconnected am able to spin motor clockwise by hand and confirm the tub indeed turns counter clockwise when viewed from top.

Removed belt and ran a cycle. Motor spun counterclockwise during what i assumed to be an agitation sequence but was completely lifeless during the spin cycle.

Removec knob from timer switch and confirmed the round dial plate behind it was properly seated.

Any ideas?

Washer not spinning - need ideas

My GE top load washer - wprb9220d1ww does not agitate or spin, in regular or maintenance modes. I have replaced the motor control board, reset the motor by lifting lid 6 times/12 sec, and confirmed via maintenance mode the door sensor works. I am getting VSD faults and once the lid lock fault. I am thinking the lid lock is not the problem since lock does not engage during agitation, is this correct? Could it still be lid lock? What else could be the problem?

Second guessing replacing washer... Bad bearings or something else?

Hi,

Need some advice before potentially spending money that doesn't need to be spent...

Our front load washer occasionally leaves holes in clothes, and the affected area is hard and almost burnt. When this happens, there is also a grey powder material all over the clothes and in the washer's gasket, and takes a lot of work to get out. I've assumed clothes are getting caught in the gasket, and the high speed spinning is causing the holes and sanding the gasket, resulting in the grey powder. This doesn't happen every load, but it is causing a money drain on losing clothes, and we're always concerned about losing something nice.

My wife says the loads aren't overloaded. I thought maybe I could get away with replacing the gasket and be done, but after following various google trails, I got the impression the bearing needs replacement. Since the washer is 7 years old, and we're tired of worrying about mold, leaving the door open, etc., we decided to take advantage of Black Friday and just replace it with an LG top load.

But now I'm second guessing, wondering if the bearing might not be bad. I've watched Youtube videos showing the movement of the inner tub separate from the outer. I can't get the inner tub to move separately as much as in the videos, but there does seem to be slight play.

So that said, does replacing the washer seem like the way to go at this point? I placed an order last night, but the lead time is going to be a few weeks so I'm trying to decide ASAP if I need to cancel the order. I've already decided if it's the bearing, we're definitely replacing. My other concern is if I do replace the gasket first as a test, we risk losing BF deals by the time I find out that wasn't the solution. We also have a few ergonomic reasons for replacement, like the fact that the dryer has to be to the left of our washer, meaning going around the door with laundry in an already cramped space. But that by itself isn't enough to be worth replacing the washer.

Sorry for the long story, and thanks for any help!

Maytag Centennial washer

Wife said she heard the washing machine making a pretty good screech the other day. Like a high pitched scraping noise. My first guess is something in the belt pulley has gone loose and the pulley is scraping against something.

Ran it intentionally today with a couple of towels, and high water level.. just to listen and observe.

It filled, then nothing until it just drained. No agitation, no spin. No 'screeching' noise either.
Ran it again, this time, it filled, agitated, and just started to spin... then the basket coasted to a stop. But the motor was still running. I could just 'peek' under the lid enough to witness this. I could see the agitator wasn't spinning, but WAS 'wiggling'.

So I learned how to run the diagnostics, and retrieve error codes. Before I ran the diagnostics, I grabbed the error codes first;

First set of lights after clicking the knob to 'done' and hitting 'start';

Sensing (F code) plus wash, rinse, spin and done. Is this F15? it's confusing, because it flashes 2x's, then a gap... then flashes 2x's again. repeat. Edit; I think the 'gap' is the E code, with nothing to show. The next 3 codes seemed easier to figure out;
F-O E2 too much soap suds
F-5 E1 lid switch fault
F-7 E5 actuator/shifter

So, I 'cleared' the error codes, then ran the diagnostics. Exact same codes came up. I 'cleared' them again, and without running diagnostics, I pulled the codes again. Still there. I thought that holding the start/stop button for at least 3 seconds was supposed to clear it?? I unplugged it for over an hour too, still has the errors.

I'm hoping that a lid switch and an actuator will do the trick. I've read that the drive pulley was prone to getting loose too.. so will check that and the condition of the drive belt tomorrow.
Any other thoughts on why I can't clear the codes?

Wtw5000dwo stuck filling with water

Hey guys first time posting, I have a whirlpool wtw5000dwo that is about 5 years old on well water ( sometimes I will get sediment past my whole house filter) once in a while but becoming more often it will get stuck in "spin" mode but the water will endlessly run and dump down the drain ( the first time for almost 2 hours before I caught it), I'm worried it will flood or ruin my well pump if I dont fix it soon

Any help is appreciated, thanks

WT1701CW LG Washer Pulsator Keeps Coming Undone

We noticed a few days ago that the washer was stuck on the wash cycle trying to agitate. The "Wash" button light keep turning on a off and the washer seemed like it wanted to agitate but it would only rotate a fraction of an inch. It seemed like it was stuck on something. We drained the washer, took out the clothes, and noticed that the pulsator was loose/off kilter. I took the cap off and saw that the screw holding the pulsator was loose so I loosened it completely and took the plate off. After cleaning off the crud, it looks like the splines of the pulsator are gone (see pic below), so it seems the easy fix is just to get a new one.

But the real question is, is this from normal wear and tear or is there something deeper going on that needs to be fixed before the splines on the new pulsator get ground off too? Like do I need a new clutch or something?

Also, I'm including a pic of the shaft coming out of the motor assembly. It's splined too of course, but does it look like it needs to be replaced too?

Thanks,
Gaidzahg

Kenmore He3T Diagnostic test Passed. Fail F)@ & SUDS

Drain/spin/rinse seems to stop working at the 2 minute mark on Normal Wash. (F02 and Suds Error) Have done the following:
-Cleaned out the drain trap 3x (in 4 weeks) - NOTHING FOUND
-Cleaned All hoses - No blockage, except 2 weeks ago I found a bra underwire at the top of the Tub to Trap Hose
-tub to pump hose
-pump to back of machine hose
-back of machine hose to sink hose
-Pressure switch hose and pressure tube connect at bottom
- Did not clean the Flow meter hoses.

The only things I have not done yet is to check the continuity of the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch and the CCU. What is the procedure in testing these items? I do not know what more I can test. Any help would be most welcomed.

FIXED Maytag bravos washer error code ld

Hi everyone my washer the other day was finishing up rinse cycle and it got an ld error code. The old I did before our daughter must have thrown a diaper in and it exploded I sucked the inside out of the tub with a shop vac but thinking maybe something got inside the pump? I unplugged it for 5 min and plugged it back in and I hear I’m assuming the pump humming but nothing else happens then after a few minutes it shuts off then it comes up with the code. After I power it off it still bums for a little bit maybe a minute or so. Does this seem like a clogged pump or something else?

Last spin cycle repeats continuously

My washer does the load fine, but it continuously repeats the last cycle. It does its fast spin, stops and then puts another 21 minutes on and repeats the last rinse cycle. It will do this continuously until I manually cancel the run.

I should state that the 3 year old washer had a bad balance ring that caused the bearing to get loose and destroy the outer drum. I replaced both the balance ring and the front half of the tub. My wife mentioned this repeating issue has been there for some time.

Are these two issues related? Any thought why washer will not stop repeating last rinse cycle?

Thanks in advance.

WM3360HVCA LG front loading washer leaking from the air vent.

Hey guys, I have the old leaking from the air vent issue. I’ve cleaned filters, sucked out the drain tube, did the tub clean cycle 5 times (3 in a row per LG and then 2 in a row about a week later) and the dang thing is still spitting water. We’ve reduced the amount of soap drastically because we have very soft water. My question is, could there be a chance that the evacuation pump is going bad causing the water to leak out the air vent?

Looking for advice on purchasing a new Washing Machine....

OK, as the official handyman of a retired lady, she has asked me to find a new washing machine for her… I’m by far not up to speed on washing machines these days since the last one I bought was from Circuit City in 2000 (Much to the chagrin of my wife. 😉) Anyhow, since there are a lot of great techs and just good, smart folks here, I thought I would pose the question.

I’ve started the post with something I QUICKLY researched and thought was a decent brand/model, but I’m by far not set on either the brand or the model.

Other info:
Budget---around $600, but less is preferable (I’m assuming this counts out MOST front load!?!?)

The one I found was at BB:

Samsung WA48H7400AW/A2 issues

Hello,

I have a Samsung WA48H7400AW/A2 top loader that has gotten to where about 1 out of every 3 uses it won't do the spin/rinse stage on it own. It seems to get hung in part of it's program and will put some water in and pump it out ..... put some water in/pump it out/ wait a min or so and put more water in and drain it out and on and on. No telling how much water I've wasted before I caught on to what was going on.

I can unplug it and let it sit there for a few hours and most of the time it will run one load just fine but the the next few loads will get to about the 19-20 min mark remaining and get hung in the put water in/ pump it out cycle.

Ideas?

Thanks.

Finding version of Samsung WF210ANW/XAA

Our washer broke. After going through the diagnostics I have determined the Main PCB is bad. Power going into the unit but it doesn't turn on and smells like hot electronics.

I searched high and low to find the proper PCB, including chatting with Samsung, but I still am not sure what is the proper replacement. The original is a DC92-00301E. A part search shows many versions of that same board. Apparently there is 4 version of this washer and I assume that will determine what board I need if not the original 301E version.

None of the service tags show a version for this washer. Should I assume that means version 1?

When I hit start, it'll act like it is going to start the cycle, there's a faint hum, the loud click to lock the door, then the faint hum again. It'll sit there and make that humming sound for as long as you let it. No water, spinning, beeping...nothing. I also noticed a light smell once too...not quite a burning smell...more of a chemical-ish smell. Nothing strong and it doesnt do it every time.

Here's what I've tried so far:
Drained the lines.
Ensured no kinks in water lines.
Cleaned out the filter.
Reset the breaker.
Unplugged/re-plugged.

As you can tell, I'm not trying anything extremely difficult. Haha I'm pretty handy and can figure most things out, but before I sat and took this thing apart, I thought I'd ask the experts for any direction.

I will try to attach a video in a bit.

Thank you all!

Noise While Agitating But Not While Spinning

Washer is making a ridiculously loud noise when agitating and the washer moves across the floor. I took apart the agitator and checked the dogs which show very little wear, the springs are all intact, the floor and washer are level. No oil on the floor. This happens regardless of whether I have 5 bath towels or just 2 socks in a load or whether I have it on heavy duty or delicate. The sounds does NOT happen during the spin cycle which has me perplexed. Thoughts?

WF331ANW/XAA Samsung washer code HCd9

When I press the Soil Level key + Signal key and Power Key at the same time, the display reads HC9d. This code is not in the Technical Information sheet downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201404/20140410111158009/Techsheet-WF350AN-02834A-04.pdf and the Samsung parts order line didn't know what the code means. The spider arm is failing so I am replacing that, but I don't know that the HCd9 code refers to that. Any ideas and suggestions appreciated!

Maytag mvwb880bw0 DU error code

We got a Maytag mvwb880bwo (unsure of the age) washing machine for free on craigslist. I plug it in & it flashes DU, flashes lights around knob & beeps 3 times over & over. Under the front of the lid there are some wires that have been cut with a jump wire between green & white. Also present are red, black, brown & blue wires. I assume this was where a door lock or something used to be. I do not have the missing part. I don't want to start buying parts I don't need. Also I don't want to dump money into it without knowing what's all wrong with it & how much it will cost to get it running.

I am trying to run the diagnostic tests to find out what is all wrong with it / why they gave it away. I can't get it to go into diagnostic mode. Is there a way to bypass the door switch or whatever that was? Or clear the codes? So I can get in diagnostic mode?

There is no tech data sheet in the front panel.

Lid will not lock in manual tests

Greets -

I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with my wash cycle using the manual tests. When I try to activate any of the spin and agitate cycles, the locked light does not show. I did the lid lock test and it verifies that the lock is activated. Any suggestions?

GE Washer not spinning

Been through many troubleshooting recommendations.
Open and closed the cover 10 times after power up - didn't reset motor.
Blew air into pressure valve and hear switch click so i think good there.
No blinking diag lights on motor - so questioning if thermal fuse is blown.
Read that some newer GE units, same model, don't need the fuse, and they don't even sell them anymore.
Does anyone know if i can just remove it(bypass)? I'm assuming it was there for a good reason, but maybe not.
I am hoping that is the reason the motor is not working.

WM2801HWA LG Washer Shakes Wobbles Spin Start

Have a washing machine that agitates fine but shakes violently when the spin cycle starts and spins fine after it gets up to speed. I can see the medal drum get close to the rubber during the wobble and it goes away after it speeds up. I replaced the shocks with new ones. What is the troubleshooting logic?

WM3470HWA LG Washer no longer turns on

Long time member
It seems our washer will no longer turn on. A month ago it did the same so I flipped the breaker and it worked. Then a few weeks ago did it again, just never turns on (no power lights, nothing). I went and switched the washer dryer plugs around to different outlets, it worked. Now today the washer will not power up despite flipping the breaker and switching outlets.

I am suspecting it’s the circuit board.....
BTW, I don’t think the breaker or switching outlets did anything (lol) but worth a try right?

Kenmore series 80: brake stuck?

Machine was making noise and eventually would not spin on delicate cycle. It would spin on regular cycle (no noise). I changed out the clutch assembly.
Tested it on delicate cycle, yes it spun (and no noise). I opened the lid while spinning and it stopped spinning, but since then the machine will not run.
It will fill with water, I can hear the controls/timer changing, but will not agitate or pump or spin -- just makes a sound which may be the motor trying to turn. It I don't turn it off when it's making this noise, it will eventually smell of hot electric.
I've tried putting it through various setting on the wash cycles (ie, the 2 min timeout after agitating), hoping it will reset, to no avail. It seems like the brake is set and will not release.

Any suggestions on how to proceed would be much appreciated.

Samsung WA5451ANW/XAA02 will not stop filling with water

Samsung WA5451ANW/XAA02 top load will not stop filling with water. It will kick into wash mode, but just continues filling. I’ve tried several things to test the water pressure level sensor switch and the water intake valve. I actually went ahead and replaced the water intake valve and hose.

1) water intake valve: unplugged washer from electrical outlet while filling, the water stopped.
2) pressure level sensor switch:
a. removed the hose end from the switch and blew into hose, there was no obstruction going into the drum.
b. Removed hose from drum end, leaving it connected to the switch. Started fill cycle and after filling with enough water, blew into hose. The water stopped. This also appears to test the “hole in the hose” thought.
3) unplugged unit overnight

The washer just continues filling, even when the wash cycle begins. If the water intake valve and pressure level sensor switch appear to be working properly, then what next?

LG WM2050CW washer noise

Could someone help me to recognize the problem with my washer?
I think it's the bearings but not 100% sure - appreciate any insight.

Maytag bravos Mct model mvwx655dw0

I have this washer and I recently replaced the control board. I cannot get this machine to operate. When I try to start a load, it will spin the agitator really high, for approximately 3 seconds, and then the lid locked light will begin to blink. And will not do anything else.

I’m at my wits end with this machine. Please help!

Whirlpool Washer WFW92HEFC Won’t Drain

I am beyond frustrated. We’ve cleared the hoses (no clogs) and even replaced the drain pump, but we’re continuing to get the E01 F09 error. I can’t imagine why we would be getting this message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

WA422PRHDWR Samsung Washer not Working

My washer initially gave me the 3E error code. It stopped mid cycle and then would not spin or fill afterwards. I read the thread on here about that as well as other sources and found one person who cleaned out the hose to the water level pressure switch and that worked for them. It worked for me too... For about a week. Then the same thing happened. And it wouldn't fill or spin again.

Thinking logically, I decided the water pressure level switch itself might be bad. So I ordered a new one and replaced it. The washer filled and spun. And then a few minutes into the cycle it gave me the 3E code again and now it won't fill or spin. Also, when I go into the quick test mode it gives me the 3E error code and won't spin.

Any ideas? Is it the PCB board? I'm lost at this point

WA50F9A7DSPA2 Samsung Washer Leaking

We have a Samsung top loading washer that has developed a leak.

The leak was noticed after puddling near one of the corners. I thought it may have been a leak from one of the hose connections near the bottom of the washer or from a leak in the tub itself but it looks like its coming from farther up.

Click image for larger version.  Name: TAL1.jpg  Views: 2  Size: 110.4 KB  ID: 39810

You can see it splashing against the side of the washer body near the top and it's running down into that corner
Click image for larger version.  Name: TAL2.jpg  Views: 1  Size: 79.6 KB  ID: 39811

I can stick my hand up behind this silver panel during the cycle and feel that the water is coming up from higher on the machine
Click image for larger version.  Name: TAL3.jpg  Views: 1  Size: 95.4 KB  ID: 39812

I took the rear cover of the panel off to expose where the hoses connect and find no indication of leakage from anywhere here:

What do you suppose would be the next step in tracking down the leak location? I can loosen the entire top and possibly lift it up during the cycle to see under it?

Thanks in advance

Kenmore 417.44152400 washer keeps beeping

Hello - I have read the posts and replies regarding the Kenmore Front load washer, model 417.44152400 continuously beeping. My question is this: how long will this machine work if we do not replace the control panel? Since we bought the unit used and only paid $100 for it, I cannot see spending the $135 to replace the panel if we can get a few more months out of the machine. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.
