Asko W6461 stops mid-cycle, no error displayed.

Hi again,

The same guy who asked me to repair the fridge also has a failed Asko W6461 he bought in 2005. This is a higher-end, horizontal drum machine. According to him, it has suddenly stopped working properly, not completing cycle, but not displaying any error either. Frustrating.

He brought me the relay board, the timer board and the rotary encoder, all extremely expensive parts to replace ($500+ total) as he wanted a second opinion. No part appears burnt, relays have proper contact...

Admiral ATW4675YQ1 Top Loader

Hello,
We have the above named washer and it intermittently skips the agitation part of the rinse cycle. During the wash cycle it fills, agitates, drains and spins properly then, on occasion during the rinse cycle it will fill and then go directly into the final spin mode without agitating.
Has anyone else experienced this? We have noticed it after an electric "burp" in the house where all the clocks have to be reset etc. but not sure if that happens each time as it is intermittent. Any help...

Washer will not turn on

Hey everyone. The control board will not turn on at all thus not allowing the machine to work at all. I have checked the receptacle and I have 120v. The washer is barely a year old at this point. Has anybody had this issue before?

Samsung WV55M9605MV A5 Washer not starting

Brand New Floor Model. The top washer part works just fine, the main washer does not start. Everything is connected, no error codes, everything is lit up on the panel just fine. The door doesn't really seem to have an lock on it but that seems to be closed tight just fine. Husband has already looked over the main control board and sees nothing weird. Please help!

WF448AAP/XAA Samsung Washer Repair or Substitution of Discontinued Part

This is a Samsung WF448AAP/XAA 02, built December 2009, in service since 2010 when we purchased it new. It has sprung a leak in a T-shaped part (I assume backflow preventer) just before the steam assembly. See here http://bit.ly/2Weq7V3 for context and here for picture of crack in the part http://bit.ly/2WezGTR. This is Samsung part #DC97-12578E, which has unfortunately been discontinued (no luck with Samsung or multiple parts vendors). I have purchased the nearest equivalent (see here http://bit.ly/2WerNhj), but the T off to the drawer is missing what looks to be a smaller second backflow preventer.

Unfortunately, I am a bit uncertain as to the mechanics in play here - specifically, I assume but am not sure the bigger valve is to keep steam from backing into the supply hose (?), but why would the little T off to the detergent drawer need what looks like that other check valve?

My questions... Can I safely use that replacement part as a direct replacement? Can the original part be patched with anything that would hold up to the heat and pressure of steam if that's what its guarding? And finally, if neither of the first two can work, is there any option for disabling/cutting off/rerouting/replacing a broader subassembly to get things going again.

Any help appreciated - definitely out of my depth here and the folks I've asked so far want me to give up on it for lack of the "official" part.

Whirlpool washer making grinding sound.

Suddenly during a wash load my washer started making a very loud grinding sound. At the time it stopped spinning, but I have since replaced the clutch assembly, drum bushing and motor coupling with no change except that it does spin now. The drum is balanced and there’s no noise when I turn the drum by hand or during the wash cycle. What else can it be? I did notice that the transmission housing is coated with oil although none has dripped on the floor.

Amana top load washer only fills on small load, all other load sizes just drain

I did a diagnostic and also a manual reset by unplugging for a minute and opening and closing the lid 6 times in 30 seconds. It used to fill and work on small and medium. I did a diagnostic and large worked again for about 3 loads and now medium doesn't work? ANy advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

WM3170CW LG Washing with LE Error Code

Greetings all!

A couple days ago I received the LE code on my WM3170CW washing machine a few minutes into running a cycle. The drum spins easily in both directions when the power is off. When attempting to run a wash cycle, the motor will try to move but magnetically locks and hums. Occasionally it will spin briefly for about 1/2 of a rotation and make a loud growling sound. Searching the code, it seemed the most likely cause was the hall sensor. I bought a replacement hall sensor (6501KW2002A) from the local appliance parts store and installed it. However, that did not resolve the issue. So, I tested the continuity with a multimeter from the motor and hall sensor connectors to the main board and every pin showed continuity. I physically traced the wires and didn't see any external signs of damage. I tested the resistance of the stator and it showed 10-11 ohms between all three pins. The rotor has all magnets and shows no sign of wear. Considering all this, I bought a used main board. After installing the new board, the issue continued. Any ideas? Replace wire harness? Stator? Rotor? Thanks in advance and any and all assistance!
