Terminating Connector for Thermistor plug in GE Washer

So our washer has been giving us the dreaded pause in the middle of loads. The time left stays at 12 and nothing happens. The clothes are still wet. I've tracked down a bunch of posts and I'm thinking it looks like it could be the drain pump, water inlet valve, air hose leak, or something else.

I took off the drain pump and cleaned it well. It was dirty. The filter was also dirty, and the water that ran out of it had a very foul odor. I checked the hoses from the wall and there was no blockage.

I put it into Service Mode and got error codes: E22, E23, and E66.

I also noticed, that the wires leading to the connector on the thermistor had came off. I'm guessing that is NOT how it is supposed to be, as I can see pieces of the red/yellow plastic coating in the connector. My question is, how can I re-terminate this connection? Is there a way to open up the plug (similar to a female keystone jack on RJ45/ethernet plug)? I've attached two pictures. I'm guessing this could fix the E66 errors.

Anything else I should consider doing? Thank you all so much for the help!!

Frigidaire Affinity front loader washer - will not final spin!!

Hello washer experts,

Our Frigidaire front loader washer has been down due to this issue for a little bit now and it's becoming annoying. It washes fine and even agitates/spins fine when performing the wash, however, it does not do the final spin. Rather it makes a noise from the pump but simply does not spin. So far I have replaced the motor control board (or speed control board) in the back of the unit (not the main control/panel board on the top/front of the washer with all of the buttons and dial), as well as the door lock switch, and still nothing. The main black hose above the pump has been cleaned out so that should not be the issue, unless maybe the exit hose from the pump out to the drain is clogged? Do I need to replace the pump? Main control board (long electrical board on the top/front of the unit)?

Any input would be appreciated. I would really like to get this thing working again.

Thank you very much!!

Brian

WF395BTPASU tE error code - Samsung washer

About 5 second after powering on my washer, the code pops up.
I have replaced the thermistor, which did not solve this issue.
I looked at all the wires for corrosion and don't find any issues with them.
When I run the board input diagnostic test to check the water temp, it reads 437 deg F. Obviously this can't be correct. The Celsius reading is over 500 deg C, which is also not correct, nor is it equal to the Fahrenheit reading. Would might be causing this?
I know it's a temp issue. I am just not sure what is producing this bad reading, nor how to correct it.
Any thoughts?

Maytag Bravos - chirping sound when agitating

My Maytag Bravos washing machine chirps intermittently on the wash and rinse cycles when it is agitating. There is no unusual sound during the spin cycle.

I replaced the bearings and the rod so they are all new and everything inside is clean. I thought replacing these parts would solve the problem but the sound is still there. Is this a concern? Or should I ignore it?

Whirlpool WTW5300VW2 top loading super plus shaking and making noise during spin cylcle

My washer shakes rather aggressively and makes a squeaky noise during spin cycle only. I can push on the front of the washer during this and it will stop shaking and squeaking. But once I let go it goes back to shaking and squeaking. Is it something I can fix myself?

Stacked unit won't spin

Model number

When it gets to spin cycle nothing happens. Also the agitator and the tub no longer spin together by hand. It almost feels like something that held them together broke loose.

No water getting to the auto dispenser

After the shocks wore out on my wife's GE model WSXH208 washer, the increased wobble caused a bolt on the tub to puncture the dispenser tray and leak water. I repaired the tray with epoxy and POR-15 then replaced the shocks. Now, no wobble; but somehow a pin-hole leak developed in the washer coin trap hose (accordion-like rubber pipe). I believe I can patch the rubber washer coin trap with a bicycle tube mending kit. Now my wife tells me the dispenser tray is dry: it should be wet. Sigh!

Could the leak in the washer coin trap hose have anything to do with water not reaching the dispenser tray due to loss of pressure, or might a hose have come loose? I see no other leak.

WM2016CW LG Front Loader Major Leaking

Hi everyone!

My front door on my washing machine is bent a little and water would leak out just a little bit during a load. Yesterday, however, I was working on something when I saw washer just completely gushing out of the door. I hurried to get rags and turn it off, but naturally, the door would not open no matter what. I also opened the small trap door down on the left side of the machine and water was pouring out of there too.

Today, my husband and I turned it on its side, and there was a little hose on the bottom back right of the washing machine that was attached to something, but the other part was just hanging there. It was a small hose and it had a flat, ridged-like end. We couldn't figure out where it went, so we tried to put it in a small hole we saw and it fit perfectly in there. The water line going to our wash tubs didn't seem to be clogged or anything. I thought it might have been the boot seal gasket around the opening of the machine, but there were not any tears, or rips. I only saw square cut outs that looked factory made, if that makes sense.

We turned the washing machine right side up and turned it on. The water was pouring out of the bottom of the machine this time, not the door. It probably would have come out the door, but it didn't have a chance to fill up since it was pouring out of the bottom.

Any suggestions? I'm ready to call an appliance guy or just go buy a new washer. We didn't wash any rugs that have rubber backing (did that once and learned a valuable lesson). Our door seems bent and will not close properly, but that's been an issue for a long time. We have to hold it in until the lock symbol appears and the load starts.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Sincerely,

Joanie

LG WM2016CW Spent a lot in parts and still out of balance

Hi all, just want to say thanks in advance for your help!! I have a LG wm2016cw front load washer, it went out of balance big time and found out it was a broken spider arm, so I replace the spider arm and while I was at it I also bought and replaced all new shocks, springs and door boot. It still goes out of balance, have no idea why. It sits on anti-vibration rubber feet I bought.. Is that a bad idea??? Was thinking of taking them off, thought maybe that's the problem, also was thinking of getting 3/4 inch plywood to put under it floor is a little spongy?? I don't know what else I could replace in it. Thanks again for your time!!! Ron

MayTag Top Load Washer

My older Maytag top loader is no longer spinning fast enough to remove the excess water. After reading several posts on this washer, I decided to replace the Thrust Bearing Kit and belt. Although the kit came with a thicker washer, I could not get the C clip to slide over the washer. I tried filing down the ends of the C clip and tried using a screwdriver, but I could not do it. Prior to changing the thrust bearing kit, there was a "squeal" sometimes in the wash cycle and when the spin cycle ended (no longer have a squeal). I watch the spin cycle and the agitator moves as if it washing, but the drum is spinning slowly. What I want to understand is, even though I could not get the thicker washer on, and the original washer was the Thin washer, when I manually turn the pully counter clock wise (CCW) should the brake assembly (right above the thrust bearing and spacer) move along with the CCW action. My pulley turns freely when going in the CCW direction, which seems to tell me the brake system is not functioning at all? Thanks.

washer not spinning fast enough to drain water

Hi
I have a whirlpool washer that does spin and every thing it is suppose to do but when it spins it doesn't spin fast enough for
all the water to go out . i did check the hoses and they are all clear and i also checked the drain pump to see maybe there was some thing
in there but it was clear too. very strange with this because you can see everything doing what it suppose to do but it is like when you are in your car at a light and it turns green and you step on the gas and you move very slow .

WA45K7600AW/A2 Samsung Washer(and dryer) Reliability

I've had a front load Samsung washer and dryer for 5 years and haven't had any issues. I recently sold my old unit and bought a new set that is a top load Samsung washer(wa45k7600aw) and dryer(dv45k7600ew). I was reading some reviews and they are either extremely good or extremely bad. I was told that this was one of the units that could sometimes shake to an extreme.

My main inquiry is just how reliable Samsung is nowadays. I may rent out my house which is why I bought a new unit and I don't want a lot of issues. I have been debating on getting a Squaretrade warranty since they are normally top notch. I'm leaning towards no but the reviews worry me and the fact that some of these shake a decent amount(i would worry they might be more prone to parts breaking).

What do you guys think? If I was staying, I really wouldn't worry that much because I can fix almost anything. Squaretrade's 5 year warranty on both washer and dryer is about $250. One service call, part, and labor would probably be that much or more.
