GE washer sense

Trying to fix my washer that’s not spinning. On the small screen it says - sense- I did a search on this forum and found nothing.
It’s a GE GTWN7450D0WW
I opened it up hoping to find something unplugged but there wasn’t. I found the manufacturer troubleshooting guide. I was able to run some tests and came up with a code D3 could be a hall sensor / wiring or board. I started with the Hall sensor.
From what I’ve read 3 wires red, blue and yellow. I have -15 to 15vdc on the blue - yellow wires and same at red- yellow when spinning the drum. If I’m testing correctly then it might be the board ?
I’d really hate to have to go spend the $$ on a new unit.
Thanks

LG WT5170HW No Power, No Lights

4.5 years old (12/2013) Top loader HE.

No lights, nothing. Just hear relay click on/off once when plugged in or start button pressed. LED on main board is NOT lit. There's a resistor (elevated off board) that gets hot and smokes a bit like a soldering iron. So there's power getting to the main board, I also verified power in an out the filter. There's power on either side of the tubular fuse mounted on the main board.

History of problem.

Washer was filling for a load, while I was in the laundry room. Phone rang, so I paused machine so as to hear better. Got involved with call. Machine started to empty water on it's own (default action I have read). Just then house power went off. Came back on few moments later (brownout, not a power surge) no other electronics in house affected. Washer cycle was manually restarted, was filling but water also flowing out discharge hose but not being pumped. Like water was siphoning slowly. Turned OFF washer. Water still siphoning out. So I changed to SPIN ONLY, figuring to reset the problem. That worked fine, started a new wash cycle with EXTRA RINSE. Water filled fine, was not siphoning out. Seemed fine, washed clothes, rinsed first cycle. Was on the last RINSE cycle with 15 minutes left. Machine froze with display panel lit, showing rinse cycle and 15 minutes left. No buttons worked, tried the PLAY/PAUSE and the ON/OFF. Nothing. Water was NOT coming out the discharge hose. I unplugged machine, waited a bit and plugged back in. Just heard click-click. No lights, nothing.

Opened up machine to see main board. LED not lit. Checked the filter voltage in & out. Noted voltage on both sides off aforementioned fuse on main board. Discovered very hot fuse, which gives off wisps of smoke.

Manually scooped out water but there's still some in there. Drum spins freely.

Do whats next? Arrow shows resistor that gets VERY hot.

Whirlpool washer...

Model #WTW4950XW, 5-6 years old. Will not go past sensing mode & fill with water. Basket does not rotate during sensing just makes a subtle "er" noise like it is trying to turn basket. Have tried every cycle, been unplugged overnight. Can turn basket easily by hand when cleared & lid open. Lid does lock.

New non- HE Washing machine (2018)

I am looking for info on a new washing machine that actually fills with water. Everything I have read says the new washers are notorius for not using enoujgh water and taking too long or having to wash multiple times. Can anyone suggest a washing machine that will work like they used to before all these new restrictions? Thanks

GE Washer Won't Spin

My washer won't spin unless I unplug it and plug it back in and sometimes that doesn't even work. We have checked the lid switch and that isn't the problem.

WF42H5000 Samsung Washing Machine No Power

I have a WF42H5000 front load washer that will not turn on following a power outage in the neighborhood. After reading a few blogs I checked the noise filter and found it to be good(120v output). I ordered a new main board and installed- still no power. I don’t see any fuses. I have 120v going to the board. Did I get a lemon or am I missing something obvious? And yes I checked the outlet. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. - Jeff

How to level stacked washer and dryer

I just installed a stacked washer and dryer myself and they are no longer level. I leveled the washer on its own and double and triple checked to ensure I was level in the closet. Unfortunately the level legs do not have a lock nut, so after attaching the dryer with the stacking kit and putting in the closet the balance is completely off. More than one leg has changed since pushing the machine in place.

Can I level this thing with the dryer attached? Any tips for keeping the leveling legs locked in place even though the manufacturer didn't put a locking nut on them?

Please let me know your thoughts.

LG WM2101HW Jet Noise while Spinning

My washer must be using a jet engine to spin the tub. I have been reading up on these forums about this and watching repair videos. Today I decided to open it up to see what I could see. Looking at the photo below, do I have a bad bearing?? Looking at the Appliance Pro Parts site for the bearings and they are "discontinued". I will call LG and see if they are part of the warranty. I plan on ordering the spider, tub gasket, and rotor. If Im digging in this deep I want to have all the possible parts I need and return them if not needed.

Samsung WF361BVBEWR/A2 not filling on Normal/Heavy Duty cycles - all others work

Title pretty much says it all. It works fine - hot, cold or other in every cycle but normal and heavy duty. I double checked the hoses/drain/etc based on all I could find here and through google.
I'm guessing I need to replace the main pcb board. Any other ideas first?

Thanks,
Tom

Affinity Starts, fills, unlocks, then pauses and won't restart.

Affinity front load washer (FAFW4011LWO)

Issue: Machine will start a cycle, door locks, water runs and fills, drum turns for a minute or so then stops, the machine sits for a second, then the door unlocks and pause screen comes up. After that, it won't run at all, or drain, until I leave it unplugged for a while. If I start it up again, it will drain effectively, but repeats the same cycle again.

What I've Tried:

- Cleaned out the tub-to-pump drain hose. There were some coins inside, but water seemed to flow freely.
- Visually Checked water flow from hoses. Pressure appears normal.
- Checked the screens on the intakes. Clean.
- Replaced the control board. I probably shouldn't have spent so much money on a crap shoot, but, I gambled and lost. This didn't solve the issue.
- Checked error codes. The first few times I did this I got E11, which is what made me check the intakes and hoses. ( I did not test the pump.) I cleared the error code, and now it just displays E00.

I thought it might be the door lock, but I can hear it engaging. Could it still be the pump, even though it does drain sometimes?

Thanks for your help.

Josh

What is this rubber thing I found inside my washing machine cabinet?

My washer hasn't been draining properly; I just ordered a new drain pump, so we'll see if that fixes it.

But when I was looking inside the cabinet, I found this long rubber piece lying on the bottom (see pix). It's not the belt -- the belt is intact. It's also thicker and softer than the belt material. Is it a different belt? A seal? A gasket?

I also found a Tub Seal, in new condition, lying on the bottom. I have no idea how it could have gotten there, although I now wonder if I was sold a reconditioned washer that someone just carelessly left junk in.

If anyone can identify what this is, and what it might mean that I found it lying on the bottom, I would be very appreciative

Thank you.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer F7E1 Code

My washer just stopped working earlier today. I'm getting an error code F7E1. I ran the manual tests... the washer passed the agitation test, but failed the spin test. Then I put the washer on the "rinse & spin" cycle and it filled with water while spinning every few seconds. Once filled with water there was a clicking noise for a few minutes. Then the washer did nothing for several minutes, finally drained, did a high spin for several minutes, and then the cycle was complete.

Any ideas on what could be wrong with my washer???

I appreciate the help.

LG Washer WM0642HW not draining

Our LG WM0642HW washer gave an error code OE.

I've removed the pump and cleaned it and removed a clog from the drain line.

When I tested the washer, it fills but when it goes to the drain cycle it does not drain. If I open the manual drain line water is forced out by the pump.

I can't seem to find what else may be clogging the drain line. I disconnected the drain line one more time and flushed it with a garden hose, but when I reconnect the line the washer still does not drain.

Should I replace the pump?

Black greasy buildup

I own a Maytag dishwasher (MDB6769PAW0) and we keep getting a black/brown greasy like substance built up over a period of time. To realistically keep it clean, I would have to take the inside apart monthly. If I wait longer the buildup can grow quickly.

What I have done so far. I checked to make sure my dishwasher drains. We heat the water in the sink and run the disposal before starting the washing. The dishwasher drain-line is it elevated between the dishwasher and sink. We have tried the two or three in one pods, liquid detergent, powder detergent mixed with lemi-shine. We also use a rinse-aid. The last time I cleaned the dishwasher I pulled everything I could out and cleaned with bleach. I have cleaned the drain line and replaced the feed line. I am still getting slow buildup.

We live in the pacific northwest, we don't have hard water where we live or high humidity. This was never an issue with our last dishwasher. I have replaced the heat element and my dishes come out dry, but there is water on the door and roof of the dishwasher. I have also replaced the food chopper. Before I pay for a service tech, which is about half the cost of a new dishwasher, I am hoping there something I can learn from this forum.

I am including a few photos, which show what the substance looks like. This is an more extreme example of the buildup, we don't let it get this bad anymore.Click image for larger version.  Name: IMG_2350.JPG  Views: 0  Size: 91.5 KB  ID: 38480Click image for larger version.  Name: IMG_2348.JPG  Views: 0  Size: 96.4 KB  ID: 38481Click image for larger version.  Name: IMG_2352.JPG  Views: 0  Size: 154.5 KB  ID: 38482
