Frigidaire Gallery not going into final spin

Ok so the washer isn't going into its final spin in order to dry the clothes all the way. Here's what a know and have already tried. First off it does spin a little bit real slow during the final spin. At least it does when it's empty. The motor is brushless so worn down brushes is not the problem. The pump is clean and working fine dumping all the water that it can. I have also replaced the door lock mechanism because I read that could be the problem. I read you could check the wax motor with an ohms meter. Is that true? I'm at a loss here and can't afford a repair man or a new washer. Help me out please. Thanks guys.

Washer turns on but will not fill or start

Hi, I have Kenmore washer model number 592-49065-01 that came with the house. I was told it is a Samsung washer by parts people when I pohned them. It is a Front load with Display and Control panel monitored machine. It is approx between 4 to 5 years old. A week ago tried to use it, and turned the power on, and pressed the start button. It made some noises like it normally does for locking the door and starting the Pre-wash cycle before allowing the water to fill the tub. Then, it went silent and no water enters the machine while the icons keep flashing, on the display, I noticed the lock icon was displayed in the beginning, but when it went silent with the icons flashing, the lock icon was gone. I checked the hoses they are clean and NOT kinked, I checked the inlet valves and the filter mesh screens are also clean no debris, I applied direct voltage to the hot water inlet valve just to test one valve, and the water rushes into the soap dispenser, no problem. I also electrically disconnected the presser valve switch, and turned on the machine, and this time the washer sounds like it is trying to start amking making more sounds longer similar to when it drains the water, but still no water enters the machine. The icons on the Display and Control panel continue to flash. What could be the problem, please give me the steps to check in sequence and follow, thanks very much

Samsung Front Load Washer - Drum wobble

Helping my son troubleshoot this. Washer was bought used less than 2 years ago and about 1 year ago the front gasket for the drum had to be replaced, had a wear hole in one side so replaced it.. Fast forward same issue but worse. So I look at the drum spinning and best way I could describe it would be a squirrel cage fan where the shaft is bent and it spins out of round.. It wobbles but there is ZERO play if you try to see if play in the bearings. Ever see this?? For all I know it's been this way since they bought it but I think it's gotten worse.

Maytag Bravos MCT blinking lidlocked

My maytag bravos mct model is MVWX655DWO and it won't work anymore. I try to start it and instead of sensing like it should it doesn't. Then the lidlocked light just flashes. You can hear it trying to sense but the tub never moves like it used to do before it washes. I don't know if it's the lidlock itself or the actuator. I just bought this washer a year ago. I'm really frustrated. And as usual something breaks when my warranty runs out. Ugh!

Speed Queen Noise During Wash and Rinse

Hello,
First off, great forum, and have learned a bit from searching, but unfortunately don't know enough about the brand cross reference to accurately determine what problems in what other brands may be similar.

The issue is that intermittently, when in wash or spin cycle, there is a medium/high pitch grinding or squalling noise consistent with the agitator motion. The noise changes pitch when the agitator changes direction or stops, and also makes a screeching/grind when opening the lid to stop the motion. Interestingly, more often than not it quiets down when i close the lid and the cycle resumes. At times it is barely audible, other times I can hear it through the floor and have to go downstairs and do the above. As far as I can tell there is absolutely no noise on spin..the best i can describe it as is almost a dry/metal to metal bearing sound combined with the sound of pushing my kid's remote control car across the floor with no power applied...Hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any pointers or ideas.

Whirlpool yrouble

I am new here but need help in fixing a whirlpool WTW4800XQ0.
It starting with flashing lid lock and badly drained clothes. I replaced lid lock assembly and still struggled.
Went to town printed out manual ( to include French pages at a dime a page- ).

Have now learned to read codes, run manual test and with my limited tools run some of the individual component test. As of now :
After trying a run I always get same fault code F7E1-
- Belt good, motor turns freely , have continuity thru shift motor but do not have proper led or plug puller to go further on shifter testing
- No other code.
Have run calibration. Successfully goes thru but I had no way of knowing agitation or spin area once lid is locked so I used piece of wood and block the top cover/door up a couple of inches . This allowed lido arch to secure during calibration but also allowed me to see tub. No agitation or spin it a torque type movement of drum. And a back and forth washing type sound. But after this all LEDs flash for a bit and the lid lock flashes.

In running many test.
- lid lock good
- Cold fill good
- Hot fill good
- Drain pump good
- But can't run agitate(s) or spin(s) test . Lid lock won't come on.
What next. I detest repair by trial and error of just replacing parts till it runs again. Besides I can afford it.
Can a faulty shifter be the source of all problems - no spin , no agitate, no lid lock during manual spin and agitate testing ?

Appreciate any help you all can give .

Thanks

Denny

Roper washer stops after wash cycle, ive replaced lid switch and timer, please help!!

Ok I have a top loading roper washer that's around 8 years old. For the last few months its developed an issue with advancing through cycles. What it does is: it fills, goes through wash cycle, then stops. After it sits a while you can hear a slight buzz which sounds like its trying to advance but it doesn't. It last about 8-10 seconds. Its not loud and it stops with nothing happening thereafter. The washer will sit full of water at that point. If I leave it alone eventually it will go through the cycles but we are talking about literally letting it sit overnight to finish a load. 4 or 5 hours or more! I have replaced the lid switch and the timer after reading that they could be the issue. Still didn't help. I really don't want to sink a ton of money in it but I cant help but think that its fixable since it will eventually finish the wash but it may take all night. There is one very sure fire way to get it to finish the cycles. I unplug it and let it sit for 15 or 20 minutes. At that point I can hear the slight buzz again after plugging it back in and then it eventually advances. Or after plugging it back in I manually advance it but again I have to unplug it and wait to do either of those options. Once it has stopped after the wash cycle manually advancing the knob does nothing. It will not restart. I either have to unplug it and wait 15 minutes and plug it back in or just wait for hours on end before it finally advances. Sometimes even waiting for hours doesn't work but the unplug, wait, plug back in method does. Any ideas where I have already replaced the timer and lid switch??? Thanks so much. What an awesome forum.

Samsung Washer - Error Code FL

My Samsung washer (WF210ANW) decided to crap out a couple weeks ago - wouldn't power on at all. After some searching, everything I found pointed to it being the main control board.

Last night, I replaced the control board, put everything back together, plugged it in and I have power back. Go to start the washer, now I'm getting error code FL - stating that the door won't lock.

I have gone into Quick Test mode and have tested the lock that way, only to receive the same error. I have followed the steps to clear EEPROM (as was suggested after installing a new control board), and received the message saying that was good.

Is there any chance that the new control board is faulty? Everything was fine with the washer before the board went, so it seems odd to me that the lock would have an issue. Any suggestions on what else I could try before I drop another $100 on another part for this thing?

Samsung Washer - Dangerous to reduce drain hose diameter?

Just received delivery today of my new Samsung washer and dryer. The installer told me he couldn't complete the washer installation, because the drain hose wouldn't fit into the drain pipe.

It turns out that my water purifier ALSO drains into this drain pipe and its PVC pipe leaves only a portion of the opening for my washer. I'd had an old washer before this new one and apparently its drain hose didn't present this problem.

My new drain hose is 1 1/8" in diameter and the available opening in the pipe is only 1". So, my question is, can I install a barbed fitting and attach a smaller hose that WILL fit into the drain pipe? The guy helping me at the home improvement store warned me that decreasing the size of the drain hose will create pressure within the washer that will burn out the motor.

Is that warning BS or is it true? I called a plumber to arrange an estimate to deal with the situation and he estimated that it will run me about $1000.

Samsung Washer intermittently won't stop filling - even after new valve

Hello, I have a Samsung front loading washer model number WF410ANR/XAA. Recently, the washer would not stop filling with cold water. I noticed the extra water running down the inside of the door after a cycle would finish.

Unplugging power did not interrupt the flow of water. Based on this test, I replaced the corresponding cold water inlet valve. The problem has seemed solved for a few days but tonight the same symptom has returned. Cold water is flowing after the cycle is complete and the unit is turned off. Unplugging power does not stop the flow.

Cycling the water valve on the wall a few times seems to do the trick. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Samsung Front Load Washer ND Error but pump works fine

Hoping someone can help me out. I consider myself mechanically inclined but this has me stumped.
Have a 3.5 year old Samsung VRT wf419aaw front load washer which is not starting ( Not filling with water and not spinning)
It is throwing a ND code after 10 mins of starting. During this time the drain pump is running (no blockage and impeller spins freely)
I removed all hoses from drain pump assembly to check for a blockage, also poured water into tub and the water is being pumped out.

I'm leaning towards a control board but would like to see if anyone has had a similar problem. Don't want to just throw parts at this and I hope I get lucky.

LG washer acting wacking, wondering if it is the panel? works on some wash settings, not others

Wacky Washer, before calling the Technician- wondering if it is the Panel. thank you for your input it is greatly appreciated!!
- The front loader will power On.
- I only use 2 wash settings, it will not start or wash these wash settings: colors/reg wash or whites. the door locks, that is it.
- It Will wash settings I don't usually use. for example the Stain setting 2.30 hrs. It will wash for 2+ hours, wash, spin, agitate. It will stop at the Rinse, 18 min left on the on the timer.
- If I stop the wash, turn it to Rinse/Spin setting, it will finish the wash.
- Occasionally it will stop during any wash cycle. If I turn it back on, it will wash until the last Rinse with 18 min on the timer.
- It has been this way a week, our Clean Clothes are smelling funny, don't think they are washing correctly....
We can replace the panel... IF that is the issue, don't want the appliance repair company taking us for a ride replacing stuff. And DIY is cheaper.

Any input is appreciated!

GE Front Load Washer, overheating drum

During the spin cycle the drum gets very hot in the front, near the door. It appears to be caused by friction between the drum and the seal. When the door is opened there is a large amount of smoke and burning smell. Non of the smoke or smell is apparent from outside the drum area. It seems to be bouncing and making more noise than usual.

Samsung top load washer time keeps jumping back

I have a fairly new Samsung top load washer model # wa456. When I do a normal load of laundry at around 20 mins left on the timer in the spin cycle it jumps back to 27 mins and goes to rinse again. Sometimes I let it go and it then gives me a dc code. Any info or leads will be greatly appreciated.

Replacing handle on Samsung washer dryer

Hello.

I am trying to replace the door handle on a Samsung WD0804W8E washer dryer.

I didn't take a good photo of how the spring and latch were orientated before I took it apart, partly because it was broken prior to taking apart.

I can't figure out how to position the spring.

I have tried looking around on Youtube, and on this site, amongst others. But I can't work out how to assemble mine based on looking at others.

There are two orientations I have tried, but both leave the latch very loose, I think the spring is meant to keep it firmly in position?

I have attached a photo shown in the attached file of the parts I have. I have already spent hours on this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Whirlpool Front Loader - Lost Wedding Ring!

Hey guys, need your experience and expert advice. My lovely bride left a couple of rings in her pocket when washing in our RV. She found one in the boot/bellow seal in the front. The other, which is the good one, is MIA. I'm not an appliance tech, but an auto tech. I'm hoping someone that's familiar with this model may give me some ideas based on your experience of where I might look for the ring. I've got a service manual on this model. This is what I've done so far.
*Looked very close on the inner edge of the boot seal.
*Checked the pump drain filter (found some coins). I checked up the inlet to the filter and got out a few more coins, but that's all. There is no way the ring could get passed the orifice of the filter.
*After cleaning the filter, ran a cleaning cycle and then another regular cycle which resulted nothing.
I'm wondering if the thing is laying in the tub drum or maybe the hose from the drum to the inlet side of the pump?
It appears to gain access I have to pull the front panel. Doesn't appear too hard, but any comments and thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks! rockin'

PS I have checked my dryer closely also.

Samsung WA400PJHDWR 3E error

I have a Samsung WA400PJHDWR that has been giving me a 3E error for a while now. It happens periodically, not all the time, at different parts of the cycle, although it happens more frequently at the end of the wash cycle, before pumping any water out or spinning.

I've searched the internet for answers, including this forum, but haven't been able to narrow it down all the way. Most threads are about front load units and mine is a top load. I started out using the owners manual and tried to see if I could figure out what is wrong. I checked to make sure nothing was lodged between the tubs. The tub spins freely. I then put the washer into service mode and tried to run the Quick Spin test. The first couple of times it would get to around 20 and then stop. So I started looking at the wiring and making sure everything was tight. All the connectors looked good. At this point I found the fast track service trouble shooting bulletin. I started checking voltages for the motor. They appeared fine. So I tried the quick spin test again and this time it got to full speed and then slowed down. So I ran it again and this time held the speed and it ran fine. I ran a drain pump test and it seems fine. The one thing I am completely unsure of is the values listed for resistance on the motor and hall sensor. Mine were no where near the values listed but I can't find what they were at the moment. I can check them again if needed.

Any ideas? Where should I go from here?

Thanks in advance.

LG Washer spins during wash?

I am testing an LG top loader washer. It fills, agitates (with water in it), drains, and spins (when empty) OK.

Twice during the wash cycle (and during rinse) I notice it attempts to spin while it has water in it. When it does, the water sloshes around and the tub goes out of balance, banging the cabinet. Then it goes back to normal agitation.

Samsung washer - Door Not Closed Error

Greetings. I'm a petroleum tech - I work on gasoline dispensers. Similar to washers with main boards, valves, motors etc (except petro equipment can blow up real nice). Here's my story;
I bought a Samsung washer, plugged it in and got a dC error. Door not closed per the user manual. Called for warranty service. They couldn't fix it. There's a door switch and a door lock that both ohmed out ok. The tech replaced the main board, same problem. The issue has to be with the wire harness, right? Does anyone have a wiring diagram they can share? I ohmed out the wires from the lock and switch through the harness and have continuity but I'm not sure if they're landed on the right pins on the main board. The Samsung ASC that showed up didn't have service manual. Can you believe that? Yes, I'll name names. It was Service Quick out of Hayward, California.
Nothing but respect for the master technicians here.
