GWL15 Fisher & Paykel top load washer won't drain water

I have a fisher & paykel top load washer that wont drain the water. At first it wasn't wanting to spin I had to keep restarting it over and over to get it thru the cycle. now its full of water and I tried putting it on every cycle but it wont empty the water out. Before the draining problem started when it just wasn't wanting to spin, but it was still draining, when Id turn the machines power on it was quiet, but when I would hit the start button it makes a moderately high pitch sound ???? please help if you know anything and thank you. I also pulled off a round cap of some kind off the bottom of the washer, which has some kind of magnetically ran system underneath, with copper wire and metal blocks, in the center of the part that remains on the washer when the cover is removed there are cracks in the casing with the metal blocks, Im wondering if that's the problem??? sorry im not mechanical, I raise 2 small grand kids of mine on my own on a very small fixed income and cannot afford a repair man of any kind, which is why Im hoping someone on here can help give me an idea of what to do ?? please and thank you .

W1460 AEG lavamat circuit board transformer

Hello
I have recently replaced the drum bearings and seal on my AEG W1460 washer. I admit I must have done it late... very late. when I took it apart the bearings were all seized up and ground to powder. I got them out with great difficulty, and put the machine back together. When I turned it to spin, ooo... what a difference... probably didn't work like that when it was new. But when I turned it to wash, after 30 seconds of filling, it started beeping, the drain pump turned on, and the end light turned on. checked all the wiring and pressure switch tubing and all little thingamabobs. I thought it was the heater but on rinse it does the same thing. Funny thing: when I disconnect the heating element, it will just fill until... well it just fills until I stop it or it overflows and does nothing else. well, during the last wash before the bearing service someone mentioned that the area around the circuit board got too hot. I pulled the board and found a lot of soot around some kind of transformer. the core of the transformer was cracked. I dug all over the internet for that transformer but I cannot find it. it is a hartu 716278-51. the board is an electrolux ewm1000. any help with finding the specs of the transformer or problem would be appreciated. I will post some pictures shortly.

Kenmore Washer model 796.40272900 Leaking from rear

Our washing machine has developed a small leak in the rear of the machine. I took the back plate off and ran a load of clothes. As you look from the rear of the machine, the lower right hand of the outer tub assembly is dripping a small amount of water... enough to make a small puddle every load. I've attached pictures of where the leak is. I can't feel any water above this area so it appears this is where the water is exiting. Any idea what is causing this? More important, can I tackle this myself, or should I call a repair person?

Thank you!

Washer will not agitate

Washer will not agitate. With clothes in dryer the agitator does not move. When washer is empty, the agitator will move back and forth. I have looked up repairs on RepairClinic. I need help narrowing down the cause. It needs A) Agitator repair kit B) Agitator replacement C) a Drive Block Ball or some combination. The motor seems to be fine, no problem in spin cycle. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

SFNLCFSP111TW Front Loader Sometimes Leaves Load Very Wet

One of the washers in our building is a Speed Queen front loader, although on the back, after checking the model, it says Alliance.

Looks like: http://www.speedqueenserviceparts.co...d-washers.aspx.

It used to work fine. Sometimes, with regular loads, the cycle will finish and the clothes are very wet. It is intermittent.

Usually I will see a code after the cycle finishes, 'E U6': http://ift.tt/2l2EvjA.

Anyone know why that is and how to fix it?

If you were going to purchase a front loading washer, what brand would you recommend and are there any I should avoid at all costs?

Many thanks!

WM3470HVA LG washer will not drain during cycle, pump works fine, hoses are clear.

I have a front load LG washer manufactured in 2014. Yesterday I washed a load and when I went to throw it in the dryer I found water and soap on the floor and the drum still full of water. There is no error code showing up but the washer is not draining. I drained it manually, checked for clogged hose and cleaned the lint trap. There is no blockage and the lint trap was very clean as I clean it once a month. Did some searching and found a procedure to try on the LG website, as follows:

Press the POWER button to turn the washer on.
Press the RINSE & SPIN button.
Press the START/PAUSE button.
Wait for the washer to fill and begin the rinse agitation.
Press the START/PAUSE button to pause the cycle, then press the POWER button to turn the washer off.
Press the POWER button to turn the washer back on.
Press the SPIN SPEED button to select a high spin speed. This will perform a spin only cycle.
Press the START/PAUSE button.
The washer will begin to drain the water from the washer and will begin spinning.

Following this procedure the machine drains and spins fine, so the pump is working.
However if I just select the Rinse & Spin cycle and let it run the washer will fill and begin agitation, it will then normally drain some water and add more water while agitating for several minutes. This does not happen, the washer begins agitation and when it would normally drain there is no hum or anything then more water is added, it will keep adding water but none is drained.
I tried several different cycles and none will drain except when following the above procedure and going directly to a spin cycle. Seems to me the pump is not getting a signal (power) to allow it to drain. Sounds like a control board problem. Does anyone know how to check the board? Is there perhaps something else I'm missing?

Thanks

Advice needed on washer/dryer sets

Seasons greeting everyone! This seems to be the time of the year when all the machines tend to break down. My wife and I manage 10 rental units on Kauai. I also do the maintenance on them. Since the guys who fix them know what to avoid I need to ask a general question regard washers and dryers. Since all machines will need maintenance at times, which machines have the least maintenance, easiest to repair and ready availability of parts. What brands and or models should I avoid. This is mostly at this time due to a broken GE stackable W & D unit that failed, but in general for all major appliances is there a brand or model that seems to keep running after others have quit.

Thanks in advance for your input
Jim

GE stack gud27essj0ww

I have a issue with a ge stack washer and dryer. The stack will fill with water and attempt to agitate. Moving only slightly one direction then slightly the other a handful of times then stops and you have to press the start button again. The washer will spin and drain normally. Lid switch is working properly. There was a leak in the main tub seal a few month ago so it has a brand new tub/ motor assembly transmission clutch etc. Has anyone seen this problem before and can you offer any advice. Thank you in advance.

GWL11 Fisher & Paykel Washer Spin issue

Having a problem with 15 year old F&P GWL11 washer. First issue I've had. Trying to decide whether it is worth spending money on a washer this old. The symptoms are slow spinning in the spin stage, lack of complete water discharge and a slight electrical smell. I went in the diagnostic mode and got an binary error code of 00100101 (translates to 37) which suggests blocked pump issues. Tipped up the machine and removed the drain pump. It spins freely and didn't find any foreign item or major gunk interfering with it. Can't find any blockage in the drain hose either. Any other ideas other than replacing parts like the drain pump, motor control module. Opinion of how much is with investing in a machine this old?

Thanks

Bosch WFL2063GB Suspension Replacement

Hi

recently when using the machine with a full-ish load i get a loud knocking just as it starts the spin cycle

upon inspecting the springs and suspension it does appear that the suspension legs are extremely loose to move in and out.

when looking how to replace the suspension struts (on similar models) its advised to remove the bolts and pull out the plastic pin

when looking at my model is seems that the pin is moulded and not like others ive seen

can anyone advise how to replace these type of shocks easily or is it a complete machine dismantle

many thanks

Speed queen AWN412 hub seal

small intermittent leak bottom of the machine, onto floor. On investigation, looks like the hub seal is leaking, wet around it and has been spraying onto transmission, inner wall, etc. i have done a number of small appliance repairs but this one seems daunting. I live in a remote area, it's hard to get in-home service here.

Can i get this? I have ordered a hub seal kit, and the proper 3m sealant. Do I do the bearing at the same time, perhaps that comes in the kit. Or not. I have watched a few videos in preparation for said event. Need encouragement or a reality check lol.

LG WM2487HWMA Front loading washer making strange noise

Hi,
A few days ago our washer started making a strange noise. It sounded like a train was running in our kitchen (The washer is in the basement, under the kitchen).
Last night I had some time to look at it more, but am not sure what is causing the problem.
I did a small load on fast setting. When the water was coming in (Rinse cycle) and then draining is when I really noticed the noise.
Most people have suggested the bearings, but when it spins I definitely do not hear the same type of noise. I think it is something with either the supply or the draining.
Here is what I did:
Cleaned the gasket and drain holes.
Cleaned the pump filter, and emptied the water.
Removed and re-seated the hoses (only did the supply side, not the washer side).
Tightened the hoses on the washer side.

There is definitely some play in the drum, and it spins freely.
It seems to me if I was hearing the noise on the spin cycle that would indicate the bearings.
The noise happens when water is filling/emptying, when the drum is not moving.
I should add it does not leak anyplace. In addition everything else seems to be working as usual, except for the loud noise.

I will take some better notes this evening on the exact scenario, but wanted to get some ideas of what I should go after next.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Maytag Epic Z Drain Pump Motor

I had the drain pump motor malfunction and throw a code. The impeller was broken from the motor shaft. I got a new one and installed it. It pumps fine and does not leak. However I am seeing water inside the plastic encapsulated motor. I can see it through the translucent plastic about one half inch up from the bottom of the motor housing. Is this normal for cooling the motor or is there an internal leak in this new motor housing? I looked at the old one and that had gunky water in that one also. What's up?

Ge. HE WASHING MACHINE

So tonight I was filling my machine, per directions. As I was filling it turns off completely. So we pressed the start button again. It starts but continually turns off, no matter which cycle it is in. We tried the reset process and it did not fix the issue. It is a ge profile top load washer. We are currently, trying to fill to rinse but it keeps shutting down and all the lights come on. Please someone help, this is the absolute worst time for us and I can't imagine having to pay to go to the laundry. I can't afford a new machine, much less a repair tech. Any advice and answers are more than appreciated. ****Now it will not even advance to the spin cycle. So a machine full of wet jeans, is what my night consists of.

Default leak from hose on top of barrel

Frigidaire washer model CRTF1240AS0

We recently had an item jam the drain pump area. After clearing it out and reattaching the hoses, we checked for leaks. We found a leak, but it appears to be coming from another place. After removing the top cover and watching the washer during the entire cycle, It appears the hose on the top of the barrel leaks during the high spin cycle. It leaves the bottom of the washer damp, but it dries in an hour or so I am guessing this has been going on a a bit, as it would be hard to detect without opening the washer up.

Here is the hose in question:
http://ift.tt/2AvAJ8E

Does anyone know if this is a common location for a leak? I can't pinpoint exactly where the leak is coming from, but I am pretty sure it is something with this hose. Is the replacement of this part relatively straightforward and can be done by a non-professional?

thank you in advance.
