WT4870CW error code E6

Does anyone know how to repair an LG washer. I am getting an E6 error code. Have already replaced the clutch assembly, still get code. Replaced the control board, still get error code.I have checked the ohmic values on the stater and it is completely balanced. Checked the position sensor with 12 volts dc and it appears to be functioning correctly. I am beyond frustrated because i have so much money to repair this thing and it looks like it is just junk. Thanksfor any help, Don.

LG WT1101CW Water inlet Valve cover removal help!

does anybody know how to remove the plastic cover that is over the water valve? the one behind the lid with the two stickers on it. I removed the 2 screws and pried at every side but it wont budge. I have a slight drip inside the tub at the rear and i am thinking it is the water inlet valve...I most likely will replace it but I am finding that rear cover impossible to remove. Thanks for any help!!

General transmission question

Hi all,
I believe this is pretty much a general question. I'm helping a friend fix his stacked Kenmore Laundry Center Washer.
Since the trans is out I'm wondering if the bottom shaft should turn if I attempt to rotate with an open end wrench. It doesn't.
This is the short shaft end at the bottom of the machine where the motor pulley attaches.

Thanks!

LG WT1101CW Squeal (no error code)

Our LG WT1101CW started making a squealing noise. Sounds mechanical (bearing) but also like maybe a rubber seal squeaking. Video link with annoying sound attached.

new (frustrated) member

I'm new here and joined because I am totally frustrated and majorly disappointed in this new (wtw5000dw}Whirlpool washing machine. I only wish I had met my (honest) appliance repair guy that came out to repair my 18 year old Kenmore refrigerator last month. He definitely shares my view that these new washing machines are junk, despite supposedly saving a precious resource, water. Initially my regrets were not buying a front loader, but from what I read they're only marginally better than their top loading counterparts. I could go on and on but won't. Just want to see if you people with a lot of knowledge and experience can sooth my negative feelings enough from doing something rash like giving this thing away and purchasing something else. Maybe a used 'old school' top loader?

Case in point: after a very long delay in starting the wash cycle, it finally began washing. As a test, I attempted to view the action by opening the lid and using a screwdriver to force it to continue operating. What I witnessed distressed me even further. Two sets of linens pretty much just sitting in a dab of water while the basket went back and forth, linens all twisted and knotted up! I wasn't going to stand there the whole cycle because from past cycles I know it takes an extremely long time. I'm thinking of setting up my GoPro so as to watch the whole thing in the comfort of my office! But I saw enough to just groan, WTF!! is this how engineers think so-called enhanced technology washers should work?

OK folks, please weigh in. I'm hoping for advice to quell my negative thoughts. Maybe a hidden button to push to make it all work great?!?! Thx in advance.

LG Washer WT4801CW UE code

The original problem is the display board wouldn't respond. Replaced the main control board. Everything worked fine for a week or two. Then the UE code started. It happens when it switches from wash to spin, and only while clothes are in it. No clothes, no code. The Impeller spline is fine. The plastic gears and splines in the clutch area all look fine. There seems to be a type of either chatter, or stuttering between the agitate and spin cycles. The impeller is moving at this time, but doesn't seem to skipping.

Any ideas?

WM2101HW LG front loader will not spin or agitate

My LG front load washer will not spin or agitate. I have attempted the reset multiple times. I have replaced the rotor sensor and main circuit board without any changes. It will first look like it starts to rotate the drum in the first few seconds but with a heavy noise. Then it will eventually lock up and stop and sends the LE code. Bearings look new and no leaks. Drum spins freely by hand with a slight high pitch rubbing noise. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Samsung WF45N5300AW will not power on

Hey guys, my 2 year old Samsung WF45N5300AW will not power on. I am furious because the warranty ran out last month. Does anyone have a service manual for this model? What would be a good place to start looking at voltages? I have 120v coming into the unit and was looking for some pointers. Thanks, Dean

MVWX655DW1 Washer not spinning

I have read the many posts that have the same title and issue. They were not helpful.

My washer is about 2 1/2 years old. Within the first week of having it the machine would not complete the total cycles. It eventually stopped doing that and operated properly again.

About twice a year it would revert back to that issue but would always fix itself. This time it has not fixed itself. It is stuck in the final spin cycle. However, it begins to spin and abruptly stops. The door lock light flashes and the lid remains locked. It eventually unlocks the lid but the spin light will continue to flash. I have unplugged it many times for varying amounts of time with 10 hours being the longest. Whenever the power is restored it enters right back in to the stuck spin cycle.

I have tried removing the drum and plate but the plate is stuck. At this point I want to light the whole thing on fire and move.

Please help me!
-Chiv

FIXED: WF330ANB/XAA Samsung front load washer displaying ND

Hi guys, have a Samsung front loader washer model WF330ANB/XAA which is 8 yr old machine. The machine stopped during the rinse cycle and started displaying ND code( no drain). So started another normal cycle from the beginning, this time the drum doesn’t rotate or fill with water , but can hear the motor sound and after 10 min it displays the same ND code.

I did these troubleshooting steps. Manually drained , cleaned the filter of the debris and still same ND error. I went ahead and replaced the drain pump, still no luck . The machine won’t work( spin) even on spin only cycle.

When working correctly, once we start a load in normal cycle, the washer drum rotates to redistribute the clothes for few min and then fills it with water, but now the initial drum rotation is not happening nor is it filling with water, just motor sound and after a few min into the wash cycle displays ND code even without water.

Anyone wants to take a shot at this? I am not sure if it’s the drum, pressure switch or anything else. Thanks

motor getting to much juice

Good afternoon, I'm working on a Kenmore washer that is a Canadian unit model # 970-C47192-10. the unit will power up but when it starts to go into the cycle selected it stops, I found the tech sheet and ran it through a diagnostic test, the only codt that keeps coming up is E-56 which it says is the motor getting to much juice i think is the way it was put. I ohmed the motor winding's and they where with in range. It said if they where then the speed control board would need replaced. My questions are does this sound like something that would keep the machine from working? and where is this board located? Thanks

ge washer GTWN4950LOWS blinking green light

I have a ge washer GTWN4950LOWS that has a blinking green light and beep. it will not fill with water, just blinks and beeps. In field service mode it has a water meter error and the motor blinks 10 times meaning no communication. i jumped out the door switch and replaced the main board and no change. in fact, there is no voltage going to the inlet solenoids. i'm thinking i need to replace the motor, but i want to ask the pros before i throw another expensive part at it. did i miss something?

GE Washer Solenoid Voltage Question

My wife found that the washer would not progress through the cycle when washing with hot/warm water. It is a front loading washer so there is a brief sprinkling of cold water through the detergent dispenser. After that, the machine just sits and does nothing, no water coming in. No turning. The timer counts down but nothing happens. When we wash only with cold water, the machine works fine.

I opened the washer up and tested the voltage on the valve solenoids first on a cold wash. The voltage on both the cold and hot water valves was about 12-18 volts. Then I tested the voltage on the valve solenoids on a hot (color) wash. The voltage for the cold solenoid showed the same, 12-18 volts, but the hot water solenoid voltage showed 170-180 volts! Now, I know nothing about appliance maintenance, but this seems like a high voltage.

After testing the voltages, I applied an ammeter to both solenoids. The cold valve solenoid showed a draw of 2-3 amps. The hot water solenoid showed 0 amps.

My conclusion is that my hot water valve solenoid is shot.

Like I said, I know nothing about appliance maintenance so I thought I'd put this issue on here for some help. Can someone confirm that my guess is correct or, if not, what the issue may be?

Thanks!

By the way, this washer is a piece of crap! The concrete counterweight attached to the top of the plastic rear tub wore through the plastic holding pegs and fell down to the bottom of the floor. Also, the inside drain hose has just worn through due to rubbing against the rear tub and it's leaking all over the floor when it drains. Good grief.

Washer is making clicking noise while agitating

My washer has recently started making a clicking noise while it's agitating both during the wash and rinse cycle. I'd like to figure out what it is so I can determine if I can fix it myself. The click occurs each time the tub switches direction. Any ideas?
