LG Washer no longer turns on

Long time member
It seems our washer will no longer turn on. A month ago it did the same so I flipped the breaker and it worked. Then a few weeks ago did it again, just never turns on (no power lights, nothing). I went and switched the washer dryer plugs around to different outlets, it worked. Now today the washer will not power up despite flipping the breaker and switching outlets.

I am suspecting it’s the circuit board.....
BTW, I don’t think the breaker or switching outlets did anything (lol) but worth a try right?

Kenmore series 80: brake stuck?

Machine was making noise and eventually would not spin on delicate cycle. It would spin on regular cycle (no noise). I changed out the clutch assembly.
Tested it on delicate cycle, yes it spun (and no noise). I opened the lid while spinning and it stopped spinning, but since then the machine will not run.
It will fill with water, I can hear the controls/timer changing, but will not agitate or pump or spin -- just makes a sound which may be the motor trying to turn. It I don't turn it off when it's making this noise, it will eventually smell of hot electric.
I've tried putting it through various setting on the wash cycles (ie, the 2 min timeout after agitating), hoping it will reset, to no avail. It seems like the brake is set and will not release.

Any suggestions on how to proceed would be much appreciated.

Samsung WA5451ANW/XAA02 will not stop filling with water

Samsung WA5451ANW/XAA02 top load will not stop filling with water. It will kick into wash mode, but just continues filling. I’ve tried several things to test the water pressure level sensor switch and the water intake valve. I actually went ahead and replaced the water intake valve and hose.

1) water intake valve: unplugged washer from electrical outlet while filling, the water stopped.
2) pressure level sensor switch:
a. removed the hose end from the switch and blew into hose, there was no obstruction going into the drum.
b. Removed hose from drum end, leaving it connected to the switch. Started fill cycle and after filling with enough water, blew into hose. The water stopped. This also appears to test the “hole in the hose” thought.
3) unplugged unit overnight

The washer just continues filling, even when the wash cycle begins. If the water intake valve and pressure level sensor switch appear to be working properly, then what next?

Maytag bravos Mct model mvwx655dw0

I have this washer and I recently replaced the control board. I cannot get this machine to operate. When I try to start a load, it will spin the agitator really high, for approximately 3 seconds, and then the lid locked light will begin to blink. And will not do anything else.

I’m at my wits end with this machine. Please help!

Whirlpool Washer WFW92HEFC Won’t Drain

I am beyond frustrated. We’ve cleared the hoses (no clogs) and even replaced the drain pump, but we’re continuing to get the E01 F09 error. I can’t imagine why we would be getting this message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

WA422PRHDWR Samsung Washer not Working

My washer initially gave me the 3E error code. It stopped mid cycle and then would not spin or fill afterwards. I read the thread on here about that as well as other sources and found one person who cleaned out the hose to the water level pressure switch and that worked for them. It worked for me too... For about a week. Then the same thing happened. And it wouldn't fill or spin again.

Thinking logically, I decided the water pressure level switch itself might be bad. So I ordered a new one and replaced it. The washer filled and spun. And then a few minutes into the cycle it gave me the 3E code again and now it won't fill or spin. Also, when I go into the quick test mode it gives me the 3E error code and won't spin.

Any ideas? Is it the PCB board? I'm lost at this point

WA50F9A7DSPA2 Samsung Washer Leaking

We have a Samsung top loading washer that has developed a leak.

The leak was noticed after puddling near one of the corners. I thought it may have been a leak from one of the hose connections near the bottom of the washer or from a leak in the tub itself but it looks like its coming from farther up.

Click image for larger version.  Name: TAL1.jpg  Views: 2  Size: 110.4 KB  ID: 39810

You can see it splashing against the side of the washer body near the top and it's running down into that corner
Click image for larger version.  Name: TAL2.jpg  Views: 1  Size: 79.6 KB  ID: 39811

I can stick my hand up behind this silver panel during the cycle and feel that the water is coming up from higher on the machine
Click image for larger version.  Name: TAL3.jpg  Views: 1  Size: 95.4 KB  ID: 39812

I took the rear cover of the panel off to expose where the hoses connect and find no indication of leakage from anywhere here:

What do you suppose would be the next step in tracking down the leak location? I can loosen the entire top and possibly lift it up during the cycle to see under it?

Thanks in advance

Kenmore 417.44152400 washer keeps beeping

Hello - I have read the posts and replies regarding the Kenmore Front load washer, model 417.44152400 continuously beeping. My question is this: how long will this machine work if we do not replace the control panel? Since we bought the unit used and only paid $100 for it, I cannot see spending the $135 to replace the panel if we can get a few more months out of the machine. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

GE GTWN4950LOWS shorted motor Tripping GFCI

Washer started tripping the GFCI outlet today as soon as it is plugged in.

when I measure the resistance on the AC cord (neutral to Hot) it reads 130 Kohm, didint seem correct when compared to another washer’s plug it is an open circuit.

I disconnected the larger of the molex plugs on the inverter/motor and the meter reads an open circuit, does this prove that the motor/inverter board is shorted?

can the inverter be replaced separately? Thanks

washer squealing

My wife states that during the wash cycle today, the washer had a high pitch squeal throughout.
She was not present for teh rinse cycle so its unknown if this occurred at that time as well.
Is the belt the likely cause ?It is the original one.

Kenmore VMW

It started out not spinning the water out of my clothes. I ran diagnostics and it said lid switch was bad so i replaced it. Then when i started it the lid lock light was on and diagnostics said the pump was bad so i replaced it. The lid lock light is still on and it will not run a cycle and will not let water in or anything. It just sits and kind of makes a grinding noise. I ran diagnostics again and the spin light and lid lock are on and the code is saying the actuator is bad. I cannot get it to do a calibration and i do not know how to clear the codes after a repair.

AWN432SP Speed Queen top loader - how to remove the filter screen on the water inlets?

Filter screen on the water inlet is clogged and needs to be replaced. The screen is recessed 1.5-2 inches into the water inlet connection port.

Service manual troubleshooting chart says "clean or replace screen", so presumably, the screen comes out, but how?

Do I drive a flat screwdriver through the screen and twist and pry the screen out?

WA5471ABP/XAA Samsung Error Code 3E1

I'm helping out my brother in-law with his Samsung washer. The other day it he started a cycle and after adding some water the washer wouldn't spin. It showed the PE1 error code. We unplugged the unit to reset the device to see if it would resolve the issue. Entered the Quick Test Mode and moved the dial to Spin Mode to test the Motor but the tub didn't move at all and the washer this time displayed the 3E1 error code. I've tried the spin test a couple of times as well as running a wash cycle, I keep getting the 3E1 error code. I no longer receive the PE1 error code.

Based on the two error codes the manual states it could be Clutch assembly hall sensor error (PE1) or Motor Drive Error or Hall Sensor error (3E)

Any ideas on what this code can be? And how to resolve this issue?

If anyone has a service manual or technical sheet it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Samsung WA5451ANW/XAA

I have been reading trying to figure out this Samsung washer issue. The washer will go through its cycle then come to the spin. It will go all the way to 8 or 9 mins remaining then stop and go back to 18 mins and re-rinse. It does this 4 to 6 times before it stops and throws a dc error. I have removed and replaced suspension rods, I've even padded around the tub with foam to try and trick the washer. I'm at my wits end with this thing. Next step flame thrower!! Thanks in advance.

Samsung Front loader, error message nd, WF330ANW/XAA-0001

Hello,
I use this washer a lot. I'm getting an nd message and the washer won't drain at all, even after cleaning the filter.

So I discovered that if unplug it between loads it will drain normally.

If I don't, it won't drain at all.

Any idea what this could be?

I don't want to pay $75 for a service call if it's going to be a big job. But I'm a full time student and single mom and would like to fix it if it's reasonable.

Could it be a simple fix?

Thanks!
Kris

Washer acts as if it is off balance

OK. I have a Kenmore (actuator shift-type) washer. Some call them a VMW I think. I call them "six lights".

Anyway, I cleared all the codes and ran it through the calibration. It sounds great and all seems to work well until you get to the spin cycle. With no clothing in it, it spins like a champ. With clothing, however, it bangs around as if there is a Tasmanian devil trapped inside. I can't believe the loads are all off balance.

Do those spring supports wear out? They all seem to be in position.

Thanks for your help guys!

WA50M7450AW Samsung HE top load water level

Does anyone know of an after market pressure switch that will allow the use of more water when washing but will still allow the tub to completely drain once done?

I’ve noticed if you adjust the OEM valve it will not drain all of the water from the tub.

WF203ANS/XAC Samsung "nd" error

Hi guys,

I am hoping someone can help me? I got the "nd" error on my washer and thought for sure it was the drain pump. After investigating, I was able to see that there was no power getting to the pump. I wired the pump directly to a power source and was able to do a couple loads of laundry by manually turning the pump on and off when needed to drain. I found a used control panel online and swapped it in. The drain pump was turning on, but was "spuddering" and not working very well and was getting the "nd" error again. I then got a pump (thought my old one was just on it's way out) but that didn't help either... GGGGrrrrrrr I tested again and no power is getting to the pump. I hear a click, but no power.

What can I check or replace at this point???

Thanks in advance :)

CAW9244DW1 Crosley Washer Drain Pump Always Runs

Hello All,

New to the forum and trying to help a friend out that has hit hard times and is not able to purchase a new washer. The Crosley washer is approximately two years old, no matter what cycle is selected the drain pump constantly runs (for as long as you'd allow it to) when the start button is pressed until the cycle is cancelled. Went into diagnostic mode and the unit will fill, spin, agitate and of course drain manually. Unplugged the unit for one hour, set the dial to "Regular", plugged it back in and still the same issue. Next selected "Drain and Spin" cycle and when start is pressed the original issue remains. Verified great water pressure to the unit supply ports and ensured the drain hose is high enough to prevent siphoning. Any and all assistance is appreciated, Thanks!

**Edit - Also, the machine will not complete or initiate calibration in diagnostic mode. Also, when a normal cycle is selected and the start button is pressed the "Fill" light only quickly flashes before extinguishing.

I have a Samsung top load washer Model WA5451ANW/XAA-002 with the error code "DC" that happens on every load. From what I have been able to read that the fix is most likely the suspension rods for the tub. Unless someone thinks I should go a different route. Roper Washer Click, Advice please

I have a 2017 or newer Roper HE top loader washer. When it goes into the Rinse cycle and begins draining the water from the wash, it makes a loud click sound and then about 10 seconds or so, the same loud click sound. I dont believe it's the lid and it doesnt affect anything. Been doing it since it was new. Was just curious if its normal for that loud click to occur during the draining. I'm new to these new HE machine's! Thanks!

GE Front Load Washer acting terribly

Hello all,
I have a GE Front Loading washer thats about 3 years old. Model number GFWR4800.
It is making a LOT of noise whenever it is in the spin cycle. It sounds like metal grinding. It is also leaking water from the front left of the unit when the water is filling.
When I manually spin the drum it sounds like gears are grinding.
Here are a couple of short videos of the washing machine spinning noises...
https://streamable.com/ephjt
https://streamable.com/i8jsl
Any thoughts on what may cause these issues? I cleaned out the pump filter and found some plastic shards. I don't think I put anything in there like that. Would it be possible that something inside the unit is sharding like that?

Here is a link to an album of pictures of where the leaks are happening as well as the plastic shards.

https://imgur.com/a/H56e3Qu

One last issue we seem to have is that it takes a very long time to stop running. It seems to cycle through the last 2 rinse/spin cycles for hours. I assume this is because it is trying to sense when the clothes are dry enough, but like I said, it goes through this for hours.

Thanks for any advice you can help with. There are a ton of labor day sales going on right now and I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to fix this or just go buy a new one for ~500 bucks.
-Greg
