Wtw5000dwo stuck filling with water

Hey guys first time posting, I have a whirlpool wtw5000dwo that is about 5 years old on well water ( sometimes I will get sediment past my whole house filter) once in a while but becoming more often it will get stuck in "spin" mode but the water will endlessly run and dump down the drain ( the first time for almost 2 hours before I caught it), I'm worried it will flood or ruin my well pump if I dont fix it soon

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Washer only agites for part of the cycle

My Whirlpool washer wtw 4800 QX4 will agitate for 5 to 10 seconds at the beginning of the wash cycle and then another 20 seconds at the end of the wash cycle. I have just replaced the drive belt. It would not agitate at all previous to changing the belt. The spin cycle works well.

WT1701CW LG Washer Pulsator Keeps Coming Undone

We noticed a few days ago that the washer was stuck on the wash cycle trying to agitate. The "Wash" button light keep turning on a off and the washer seemed like it wanted to agitate but it would only rotate a fraction of an inch. It seemed like it was stuck on something. We drained the washer, took out the clothes, and noticed that the pulsator was loose/off kilter. I took the cap off and saw that the screw holding the pulsator was loose so I loosened it completely and took the plate off. After cleaning off the crud, it looks like the splines of the pulsator are gone (see pic below), so it seems the easy fix is just to get a new one.

But the real question is, is this from normal wear and tear or is there something deeper going on that needs to be fixed before the splines on the new pulsator get ground off too? Like do I need a new clutch or something?

Also, I'm including a pic of the shaft coming out of the motor assembly. It's splined too of course, but does it look like it needs to be replaced too?

Thanks,
Gaidzahg

wash machine stopped working

Hi,

So far I have figured out that my lid switch went out. Along with that, the wire harness (??) burnt out and melted. What I need is a new wire harness end piece with about 6 inches of the wiring. How can I get a replacement without purchasing an entire wire harness?

see pic

Kenmore He3T Diagnostic test Passed. Fail F)@ & SUDS

Drain/spin/rinse seems to stop working at the 2 minute mark on Normal Wash. (F02 and Suds Error) Have done the following:
-Cleaned out the drain trap 3x (in 4 weeks) - NOTHING FOUND
-Cleaned All hoses - No blockage, except 2 weeks ago I found a bra underwire at the top of the Tub to Trap Hose
-tub to pump hose
-pump to back of machine hose
-back of machine hose to sink hose
-Pressure switch hose and pressure tube connect at bottom
- Did not clean the Flow meter hoses.

The only things I have not done yet is to check the continuity of the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch and the CCU. What is the procedure in testing these items? I do not know what more I can test. Any help would be most welcomed.

FIXED Maytag bravos washer error code ld

Hi everyone my washer the other day was finishing up rinse cycle and it got an ld error code. The old I did before our daughter must have thrown a diaper in and it exploded I sucked the inside out of the tub with a shop vac but thinking maybe something got inside the pump? I unplugged it for 5 min and plugged it back in and I hear I’m assuming the pump humming but nothing else happens then after a few minutes it shuts off then it comes up with the code. After I power it off it still bums for a little bit maybe a minute or so. Does this seem like a clogged pump or something else?

Last spin cycle repeats continuously

My washer does the load fine, but it continuously repeats the last cycle. It does its fast spin, stops and then puts another 21 minutes on and repeats the last rinse cycle. It will do this continuously until I manually cancel the run.

I should state that the 3 year old washer had a bad balance ring that caused the bearing to get loose and destroy the outer drum. I replaced both the balance ring and the front half of the tub. My wife mentioned this repeating issue has been there for some time.

Are these two issues related? Any thought why washer will not stop repeating last rinse cycle?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

WM3360HVCA LG front loading washer leaking from the air vent.

Hey guys, I have the old leaking from the air vent issue. I’ve cleaned filters, sucked out the drain tube, did the tub clean cycle 5 times (3 in a row per LG and then 2 in a row about a week later) and the dang thing is still spitting water. We’ve reduced the amount of soap drastically because we have very soft water. My question is, could there be a chance that the evacuation pump is going bad causing the water to leak out the air vent?

Looking for advice on purchasing a new Washing Machine....

OK, as the official handyman of a retired lady, she has asked me to find a new washing machine for her… I’m by far not up to speed on washing machines these days since the last one I bought was from Circuit City in 2000 (Much to the chagrin of my wife. 😉) Anyhow, since there are a lot of great techs and just good, smart folks here, I thought I would pose the question.

I’ve started the post with something I QUICKLY researched and thought was a decent brand/model, but I’m by far not set on either the brand or the model.

Other info:
Budget---around $600, but less is preferable (I’m assuming this counts out MOST front load!?!?)

The one I found was at BB:

Thoughts? Questions?

Findin new washer

Hi! I am looking for a new front load washer. I was thinking to get a Whirlpool because, based on research, they seem to be mid-price, and good washers. Which serial # should I look for? And is it a good idea at all to pick that brand?

LG top load Washer WT1101CW drains as it fills. Drain pump stays on. IE error

LG washer has plenty of water coming in but it continues to drain as it loads. I checked the hose for siphoning but also noticed the drain pumps always seems to be turned on. As soon as I power up I hear the drain pump working. Before it would be quiet when I would power up.

How can I fix this? Do I need a new drain pump?

Samsung WA48H7400AW/A2 issues

Hello,

I have a Samsung WA48H7400AW/A2 top loader that has gotten to where about 1 out of every 3 uses it won't do the spin/rinse stage on it own. It seems to get hung in part of it's program and will put some water in and pump it out ..... put some water in/pump it out/ wait a min or so and put more water in and drain it out and on and on. No telling how much water I've wasted before I caught on to what was going on.

I can unplug it and let it sit there for a few hours and most of the time it will run one load just fine but the the next few loads will get to about the 19-20 min mark remaining and get hung in the put water in/ pump it out cycle.

Ideas?

Thanks.

Finding version of Samsung WF210ANW/XAA

Our washer broke. After going through the diagnostics I have determined the Main PCB is bad. Power going into the unit but it doesn't turn on and smells like hot electronics.

I searched high and low to find the proper PCB, including chatting with Samsung, but I still am not sure what is the proper replacement. The original is a DC92-00301E. A part search shows many versions of that same board. Apparently there is 4 version of this washer and I assume that will determine what board I need if not the original 301E version.

None of the service tags show a version for this washer. Should I assume that means version 1?

Samsung WF42H5000AW/A2 01 wont run cycle

My Samsung front loading washer (WF42H5000AW/A2 01) will not run a cycle or fill up with water. It will turn on fine. I can turn the dial to different cycles. No error codes. When I hit start, it'll act like it is going to start the cycle, there's a faint hum, the loud click to lock the door, then the faint hum again. It'll sit there and make that humming sound for as long as you let it. No water, spinning, beeping...nothing. I also noticed a light smell once too...not quite a burning smell...more of a chemical-ish smell. Nothing strong and it doesnt do it every time.

Here's what I've tried so far:
Drained the lines.
Ensured no kinks in water lines.
Cleaned out the filter.
Reset the breaker.
Unplugged/re-plugged.

As you can tell, I'm not trying anything extremely difficult. Haha I'm pretty handy and can figure most things out, but before I sat and took this thing apart, I thought I'd ask the experts for any direction.

I will try to attach a video in a bit.

Thank you all!

Noise While Agitating But Not While Spinning

Washer is making a ridiculously loud noise when agitating and the washer moves across the floor. I took apart the agitator and checked the dogs which show very little wear, the springs are all intact, the floor and washer are level. No oil on the floor. This happens regardless of whether I have 5 bath towels or just 2 socks in a load or whether I have it on heavy duty or delicate. The sounds does NOT happen during the spin cycle which has me perplexed. Thoughts?

Maytag mvwb880bw0 DU error code

We got a Maytag mvwb880bwo (unsure of the age) washing machine for free on craigslist. I plug it in & it flashes DU, flashes lights around knob & beeps 3 times over & over. Under the front of the lid there are some wires that have been cut with a jump wire between green & white. Also present are red, black, brown & blue wires. I assume this was where a door lock or something used to be. I do not have the missing part. I don't want to start buying parts I don't need. Also I don't want to dump money into it without knowing what's all wrong with it & how much it will cost to get it running.

I am trying to run the diagnostic tests to find out what is all wrong with it / why they gave it away. I can't get it to go into diagnostic mode. Is there a way to bypass the door switch or whatever that was? Or clear the codes? So I can get in diagnostic mode?

There is no tech data sheet in the front panel.

GE Washer not spinning

Been through many troubleshooting recommendations.
Open and closed the cover 10 times after power up - didn't reset motor.
Blew air into pressure valve and hear switch click so i think good there.
No blinking diag lights on motor - so questioning if thermal fuse is blown.
Read that some newer GE units, same model, don't need the fuse, and they don't even sell them anymore.
Does anyone know if i can just remove it(bypass)? I'm assuming it was there for a good reason, but maybe not.
I am hoping that is the reason the motor is not working.

Have a washing machine that agitates fine but shakes violently when the spin cycle starts and spins fine after it gets up to speed. WM3470HWA LG Washer no longer turns on

Long time member
It seems our washer will no longer turn on. A month ago it did the same so I flipped the breaker and it worked. Then a few weeks ago did it again, just never turns on (no power lights, nothing). I went and switched the washer dryer plugs around to different outlets, it worked. Now today the washer will not power up despite flipping the breaker and switching outlets.

I am suspecting it’s the circuit board.....
BTW, I don’t think the breaker or switching outlets did anything (lol) but worth a try right?
