I went to use the washing machine today and when I pressed the power button nothing happened. None of the lights on the front turned on - just appeared to be dead.
I checked the fuse on the main panel and it was not tripped.
I plugged the washing machine into a different known working outlet and still no power.
I then proceeded to open up the machine to just have a look inside and see if I could spot anything obvious. While poking around I started to open up the box which houses the control board in the back left corner of the machine. In order to open that up, I unplugged the wires for the water pressure level switch - didn't find anything and put everything back. I then went to plug the machine back into the normal outlet and to my surprise the machine turned on right away!
My question is, can a bad water level pressure switch cause the machine to not turn on at all (no lights on the panel)? It sounds weird to me, but then again, I'm not a appliance repair guy. So could it be something else that is about to fail or is it just that switch?
Right now, I have the machine running a normal wash cycle so i'm going to wait and see if it finishes.
Are there any diagnostic modes that I can put the machine in?
