I just bought a brand new Bosch 500 Series washer to replace a Bosch Axxis + washer. I have a Bosch Axxis + dryer that still works. The washer is 220V and connects to the dryer using a proprietary plug. The plug is too short to reach the socket in the dryer. I have seen that the Bosch 500 Series dryer is the same, so I would run into exactly the same issue if I purchased a new dryer. I would like to retain the current configuration, rather than purchase a stacking kit.
Preferably, I have thought of 3 options, but I don't know if any are safe/warrantied.
Are any of these off the table? I purchased the 5 year warranty protection, so I don't want to affect it. Are there other options?

- Purchase an extension cord if such a thing exists and is safe to use
- Have an electrician replace the existing power cord with one 2 feet longer
- Install a 220V proprietary socket (I already have a free 220 V socket)
