Samsung WA45H7000AW 5.2 cu. ft. AquaJet recall special. She was manuractured in '14 I believe. I bought this washer the same way I have acquired hundreds of other Samsung & Whirlpool appliances.
Even so..I RARELY see bad locks on these. It's always a worn out inner spider support arm, weak springs, bearings/shifter a lot but not often do their malfunctions creep beyond those boundaries.
I've not given up, yet. Altho scrapping it would be satisfying, I don't work service all of the time. I can't make $70 & condemn some poor sucker's washer to the scrapyard. Morally, for that matter lol. If I cant fix something it comes directly out of my pocket.
For this reason I always strive to learn everything about this field. Whatever anyone with real experience in the same field as myself is willing to tolerate teaching me! Haha..so, anyway here's the entirety of the problem:
The washer doesnt cycle on at all. Ok - lid lock quickly came to mind. Diagnostic codes first &, sure enough, code d5. The Diva can't tell its lid is closed! Replaced switch in 10 minutes. Attempted again. SAME pitiful solo beep as last time followed by..notta.
Idk how 4, 5 and 6 wire switches work on the inside so any help would be great! 👍
Thanx
