GE Front Load Washer

GE WCVH6800J1WW - Machine stalling during cycle. Could not get control board into test mode. Replaced control board on advice of repairman. Stalling still occurs with new board and new board will not enter test mode (signal, delay start, signal, delay start, etc.) Any suggestions? Can control board by "reset" by some other means?

GE Front Load Washer, overheating drum

During the spin cycle the drum gets very hot in the front, near the door. It appears to be caused by friction between the drum and the seal. When the door is opened there is a large amount of smoke and burning smell. Non of the smoke or smell is apparent from outside the drum area. It seems to be bouncing and making more noise than usual.
