Made in 2005.
Washer has not been used for one month. Has musty smell in tub ("porcelain in steel basket" per underside of lid), but no visible rust in tub. Wiped with vinegar and left lid open.
Reportedly, it had an undetected leak from the right rear for one month which damaged the floor.
Padding on right front is wet, but nowhere else.
Drain pump: dry exterior no foreign bodies inside; gears move easily; no leaks. Removed drain pump easily and filled with water over sink; no leak. Motor spline that connects to drain pump without rust.
Drain pump hoses: clamps intact; dry; no leaks
Filled tub with water, power off; no leaks observed
Water inlet mixing valves both have continuity; solenoids without blemish; valve screens clear
What do I do next?
Also, the lid switch is on the underside of the cabinet, so I can't stick a screwdriver in it to keep the lid open and observe filling. How do I jump the lid switch?
Thanks!
