Hi everyone!
My front door on my washing machine is bent a little and water would leak out just a little bit during a load. Yesterday, however, I was working on something when I saw washer just completely gushing out of the door. I hurried to get rags and turn it off, but naturally, the door would not open no matter what. I also opened the small trap door down on the left side of the machine and water was pouring out of there too.
Today, my husband and I turned it on its side, and there was a little hose on the bottom back right of the washing machine that was attached to something, but the other part was just hanging there. It was a small hose and it had a flat, ridged-like end. We couldn't figure out where it went, so we tried to put it in a small hole we saw and it fit perfectly in there. The water line going to our wash tubs didn't seem to be clogged or anything. I thought it might have been the boot seal gasket around the opening of the machine, but there were not any tears, or rips. I only saw square cut outs that looked factory made, if that makes sense.
We turned the washing machine right side up and turned it on. The water was pouring out of the bottom of the machine this time, not the door. It probably would have come out the door, but it didn't have a chance to fill up since it was pouring out of the bottom.
Any suggestions? I'm ready to call an appliance guy or just go buy a new washer. We didn't wash any rugs that have rubber backing (did that once and learned a valuable lesson). Our door seems bent and will not close properly, but that's been an issue for a long time. We have to hold it in until the lock symbol appears and the load starts.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Sincerely,
Joanie
