I have a maytag performance series 3000
Model # mhwe300vf00
Unfortunately my home was lost to fire due to my neighbors negligence. Both washer & dryer were involved, but mainly only cosmetic damage was done.
I've cleaned up both machines. They both had the problem of their buttons not returning after being pushed. I found that the control consoles had expanded & warped slightly. I removed both, separated the cover from the electronics & carefully relieved the button openings with a file. Now all buttons work properly & return after being pushed. The dryer works in all cycles properly, even though it's cosmetically seen better days.
On the other hand the washer doesn't. I've done the same to its console button openings as with the dryer. I connected both water lines & there are no leaks. Its plugged into a working 110 power source.
Nothing happens. No lights no beeps no noises no display no nothing.
I realize that trying to resurect this Phoenix from the ashes is alot to ask for, but the dryer ugly as it is works great.
I have a volt ohm meter & some electrical knowledge. Of anyone can give me some pointers on where & how I should go about testing the components & wires, I'd appreciate it.
Better yet if I could get a copy of the tech & trouble code/trouble shooting sheet like I found inside the dryer, that would really help me. Thanks for any input. I can't afford a service tech to come & over charge for parts & labor or just tell me to scrap it
