GTW680BSJ4WS Lid Lock not engaging

I recently started having an issue where I could hear the washer trying to lock the lid, however, it would try twice and then just stop. I could hear the solenoid in the lid latch, but would not latch. I could play around with it with some screw drivers and it would work for a couple weeks and then start acting up. Been happening for at least 6-8 months. I didn;t know about the software updates at the time and was a used washer so have no history of updates or not. Well my switch...
