Continuing from this thread - same washer, new problem

Big burning smell greeted me at the end of the spin cycle. Ran it through a short cycle. It filled and agitated ok, perhaps with a little bit of smell. Drained OK. Might have smelled a bit more at this point. Burning smell really kicked in during spin cycle again.
Disassembled the thing like last time. Sniffed the motor, transmission, clutch, coupling... all seem fine. The one part that seems to have a burning smell is the drain pump, particularly at the shaft where it connects to the motor. Leaning towards replacing this. I think there's not really any other moving parts to examine.
Any advice welcome, thanks in advance
