Is there a workaround for using transit bolts when moving a front loading washer?

My landlord offered to give us a Bosch washer but he doesn't have the transit bolts. I've read online about people moving their front loading washers without transit bolts and being fine or stuffing blankets either inside or around the drum to prevent it from damage. Are these things legit or should I spend the 50 bucks on the transit bolts?

All other functions operate as they should. (seems to)

If you watch the tub when it switches to spin mode, it has a little jerk to it but no real movement to speak of.

How do I troubleshoot this issue please?


PS - there was no selection for RCA in the drop down box s I just choose GE but this [[[ IS ]]] an RCA.

Whirlpool washer No light

Hi! My whirlpool washer, wtw5000dw1 has no lights when plugged in. I flipped the breaker, checked the outlet with a different appliance- it works. There is almost a draining type noise when it’s plugged in, but nothing actually happens and no lights come on at all. Please help! I need clean clothes- it’s football season!

agitator removal for very old Eatons Viking Washing machine

Hi there,
I have a very old Eaton Viking 8 washing machine. Might be manufactured by GE - not sure.
I am fairly sure I have a dinner place mat between the inner and outer tubs, used to be able to see it thru holes in bottom of inner tub.
I believe it has gotten wound around the agitator shaft below the inner tub !?!
Machine wont spin in spin cycle, only turns very slowly.
