LG leaking at inlet valve

Noticed some water in the tray the last few loads. Took the top off and noticed some water coming out of the center valve. Is this common? Part is $23 on amazon, and seems easy enough.

Kenmore 110.20022011 washer agitating only in one direction...

Hi Folks. Washer at my parents' seems to be not working correctly. I only had time to look at it real quick on the way out. In agitate mode, after I stopped the washer and waited for the lid safety mechanism to release the lid so I could look inside, the water inside was swirling in one direction, which seems to indicate that the agitation is only occurring in one direction instead of back and forth. Additionally, instead of making the normal whir-whir-whir-whir-whir sound, it makes a whir-whirrrrrrrrrrrrrr-whir-whirrrrrrrrrrrrr sound. Washer seems to work fine otherwise. And there are no other noises such grinding, clunking, etc. that I have seen in other posts.

The obvious next step is to disable the lid safety when I am by there and watch the agitation, but I am pretty sure the agitation is only in one direction. So.....

Can this be anything other than the gearbox? And can the gearbox be repaired instead of the getting a new one?

Thanks!

LG WM2010CW Drainage Issue

Hello!

I'm in desperate need of some assistance. Many thanks in advance if you take the time to read/respond.

I have an LG WM2010CW Washing Machine. It won't drain. With a small load and while full of water (wouldn't drain,) I unplugged the machine for a bit and then plugged it back in. I then ran the Rinse/Spin cycle. The first thing it did was spin intermittently. Then, it fully drained. Then, it spun for a while. Then, filled back up and with 12min on the display, it stopped. The small light next to "high" was blinking and the beeper/rinse&spin buttons were illuminated. After about 10min or so, the 12min remaining on the display changed to error OE and the machine started beeping. It's now been about 40min and it still says OE on the display and it's still full of water.

I thought maybe a plugged drain filter/hose or a bad drain pump but it did drain during the rinse/spin cycle before filling back up.

Is there a way to do a master reset? Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jason Kaloyanides

LG WT5001CW Spline on new clutch is the wrong size

I ordered a new wash plate a few years ago and it fit fine. I had to replace the clutch assy. recently. Ordered the part and installed. It started the UE code so I figured the splines was stripped again (common problem) When I removed the wash plate, I discovered the spline on the new clutch was much smaller than the old one. I called the part supplier and they don't have a clue. I've looked all over the web and can't find a pic of a large shaft like my old one. Anyone know whats going on? Was there an update and am I better off buying a new wash plate to fit this clutch? Thanks in advance for your help!Click image for larger version.  Name: P9260001.jpg  Views: 0  Size: 242.1 KB  ID: 30286Click image for larger version.  Name: P9260002.jpg  Views: 0  Size: 162.6 KB  ID: 30287Click image for larger version.  Name: P9260003.jpg  Views: 0  Size: 189.1 KB  ID: 30288Click image for larger version.  Name: P9260004.jpg  Views: 0  Size: 281.9 KB  ID: 30289

LG Washer WM2487HRMA Leaking out bottom front

I have a front load LG Washer Model Number: WM2487HRMA, serial Number 903KWDJ05042. That is leaking out the bottom, seems like mostly out the front. I haven't pulled out the unit yet as it seems like not a huge leak but still leaking a little, maybe a cup a water for each load.

Any ideas on where to start looking? I saw a video posted about a LG front loads were a water drain baffle/hose assembly wears out and can spring a leak. Could this be it? The leak seems to be located more towards the front as I can't see any water leaking out back.

Samsung washer WF448AAP/XAA Leak

Click image for larger version.  Name: washerT.jpg  Views: 11  Size: 235.3 KB  ID: 30234

I have a Samsung washer that has developed a small leak in the connector at the "T" in the drawer assembly. The replacement part looks the same but does not have the "T" section, its just straight through. Im guessing that the soap tray has also been redesigned but cant find any details. Also cannot find the exact replacement part anywhere. Please see attached. Anybody else seen this configuration? If so, is there a conversion kit or something?

Thanks

Washer will not agitate or spin

This is my first post, so don't be too hard on me. I have a Whirlpool Top Load Washer, model WTW5000DW0, that is only 14 months old. The washer will not agitate during the wash cycle nor spin during the spin cycle. It does drain, but the cloths are wet and there is still water in the bucket. I just noticed that I could open the lid during the wash cycle. I don't think that I was able to do that before. I know that there could be a number of things wrong (i.e. motor, lid lock, control board, etc.). How do I check each of these various things to eliminate them as the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maytag Legacy washing machine timer sticks

My Maytag washer timer sticks at the heavy point in the cycle. It will advance normally from super wash to heavy, the agitator continues to run, but the timer will not advance. If I manually advance the timer to just pass the heavy cycle, the timer runs normally. The washer and timer will run correctly in all other parts of the cycle. The timer just stops advancing at heavy. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Kenmore washer fills but won't wash

Say fellas, My second wife (wife's best friend) asked me to try to fix her washer. It's a Kenmore 2110 so she says. She puts her clothes and detergent in and closes the lid. Then sets the cycle, load size and temp. Presses start. There is clicking and humming. She says it takes a long time for the washer to start filling. After it fills the light comes on to wash. It clicks and hums and then does nothing with the green wash light lit. Sits there forever. I've fixed washers before but I'm thinking this one has some electronics in it since there are light indicators. Any advice for me before I go to her place and take the back off on what to look for? Does the long pausing between fill and wash mean anything? Thanks guys in advance for any help.

Washer won't drain

Drain pump never comes on during cycle. I've done the following tests:

In pump test mode, nothing happens, except an LED comes on.
Applied 115V directly to pump using test cord: Pump runs.
Voltage measured at pump during test mode: 0V
Ohms measured at control board connectors: 15 ohms.

I'm thinking the control board isn't putting out.

Canadian Admiral Washer - noisy while in spin cycle

My old Admiral washer works mostly but it has started making a loud noise while in spin cycle - It sounds like a grating noise - not harsh metallic sound but maybe plastic ? . I have disassembled it completely( the mechanical components) cleaned and reassembled it and no change. the clutch seems OK, I opened the gearbox and there is no wear I could see( no pieces in the oil )gears all looked good at a glance. I checked how the shaft turned when I rotate gearbox drive clockwise and counter clockwise. I took the tub off - it was very dirty so I cleaned it up. Not sure how to check brake for wear , etc. I assembled it again without replacing anything . I have a short video of the noisy spin cycle but as I am new to this forum I have not figured out how to post a video clip( if I can?) It might help to hear what it is doing. I checked some posts re spin issues and there is a lot of helpful info here - best I could see is that I might have an issue in the basket drive - not sure how I would check that.

Could not find my Admiral Model on line for a parts breakout, but mine looks a lot like what I find online for an Inglis IP44000. Even Whirlpool units are similar - I guess made in the same factory?

Any helpful advice is appreciated. Thanks

washer not draining

My washing machine is not draining. I took off the front panel (after taking out the wet clothes and dipping out the water) and took off the rubber "boot" that goes to what I assume is the pump, to check and see if it was stopped up. (that happened once when I washed a rug with a rubber backing that came off and dissolved into a thousand bits). It was not stopped up and I also checked the discharge hose to make sure it wasnt stopped up. I then unscrewed what I assumed was the pump (the little black box thingy) that the discharge hose and rubber "boot" were hooked to, and turned on the washer to drain to see if I could tell if it was working. The "fan" thing spins but it doesnt appear to pump water. I hooked it all back up and turned the washer on and off, plugged and unplugged the pump, and hit it with pliers a couple times. It started working again so I put on another load of clothes and it quit pumping halfway thru the cycle. I fiddled with it some more and it pumped for just a few seconds, just long enough to get half the water out, then stopped pumping again. Nothing I could do after that would get it going. The "fan blade" thing still turns but thats all. Do you think that little black box thingy (the pump?)is the problem and is it easily, cheaply replaced? This washer is 14 or so yrs old so wasnt sure if I should just give up and get another?

Samsung Front loader keeps tripping GFI circuit

I have a Samsung front loader. The Washer will intermittently trip the Ground Fault Interrupter circuit that the washer is plugged into. Does anyone have any idea what is likely causing this problem or how to go about diagnosing it?

The problem tends to occur most often on larger loads. Recently the GFI circuit is usually tripped during the cycle. Sometimes the washer completes the washing cycles. I haven't been able to determine yet whether there is a pattern to the problem. When the GFI is reset, the washer has always completed the load.

I realize that this problem may be very difficult to diagnose. Any suggestions?

filter/strainer causing E01 F09 error

I have a Whirlpool Duet washing machine, model WFW94HEXW2 that was getting E01 F09 error. The issue was the filter/strainer located in the front bottom of the machine needed cleaning. To do that the machine top, control panel and front needed to be removed.
My question is can I relocate the filter/strainer to the back? The unit has duplicate mounting holes in the rear for the filter. It appears that I can relocate the filter/strainer to the rear. To do this the power wires for the pump will need to be lengthened and the tub drains rubber boot needs to be rotated to point to the back.
That modification will allow the filter/strainer to be cleaned by only removing the back. Will this be possible?
Thank You

New Laundromat Owner having trouble with a SPEED QUEEN

So, a customer put a bunch of rugs in a top load speed queen washer. It stopped mid cycle. The belt seemed fine, but it wouldn't drain. After messing around with it, it started working out of the blue and finished its cycle. I thought maybe the lid switch got out of wack and I fixed it by messing with the lid? Put some more quarters in to test it, and it filled up with about an inch of water and did nothing else.

I'm a new laundromat owner, and was a stay at home mom before this, so I'm kinda clueless. Does anyone have any idea on how I could fix this? What might the issue be?

TIA!
